14 May 18 UTC Spring, 1901: Moderator: (ghug): This game is special in that it is the one game that did not fire properly on its own. I'm not sure entirely why, but you should be good to go now. Have fun!
26 May 18 UTC Spring, 1902: Moderator: (ghug): As our phishing investigation has concluded, this game is being unpaused. I've reset the phase to give you time to get back up to speed, but feel free to ready up before then.

If you have any questions or concerns, address them to webdipmod@gmail.com, and remember to be careful both here and elsewhere on the internet with your private info.

04 Aug 18 UTC gg, good luck in the tournament for those moving on
04 Aug 18 UTC Sucks, we had the stalemate line down pat, but we lost by 1 SC,
04 Aug 18 UTC GG. You also clearly didn't have the stalemate line down pat if I was able to take Vie and Bud so easily.
04 Aug 18 UTC I meant after you hit 18 we had the stalemate line down pat. We were 1 SC too late...
04 Aug 18 UTC No you don't. Stalemate line (at least the most well known one) includes more than just Spain and Marseilles. True, I can't make any progress past MAO, but because I'm in Vie and Buda, with a Russian fleet in Rum, and given the dearth of armies on that side of the board, there wouldn't be much you could do to stop me from eventually taking every center on the board. To stalemate, you'd need to establish a line from Tyrolia through Galicia into Sev and you were nowhere close to doing that.
04 Aug 18 UTC Don't take this the wrong way, but I'd advise doing some reading on stalemate lines in Diplomacy. You'd probably improve your gunboat game:

04 Aug 18 UTC We were one army away from doing that. Austria's fourth army decided to creep north and then stay north, for some reason. If that hadn't happened, this could have been a draw.
04 Aug 18 UTC Germany, god dammit I know what a stalemate line is.

What I am saying, is that if you look at the board, we had a stalemate line, just AFTER you soloed. I.e., we were 1 SC too late.
04 Aug 18 UTC gg
04 Aug 18 UTC You *may* have been close in F1905, but Italy didn't take Tyrolia for some reason, Austria went to Silesia instead of holding in Galicia, and Serbia for whatever reason attacked Bulgaria instead of moving to Budapest. Had those moves happened, you *might* have had a chance, but I still think I had numbers because you all were still short fleets in the west.
04 Aug 18 UTC I also just realized this was a 1907 solo lol
04 Aug 18 UTC From a russian point of view the most important was to keep Finland
05 Aug 18 UTC Unfortunately Russia didn't tap Moscow in Fall 06, so you were quickly able to move your forces toward that solo. I was hoping I could keep Russia alive a bit longer, and France just kept pulling away so I thought aiding him further would be helpless. You dun good.
05 Aug 18 UTC I forced my way into the draw. If there were going to be a later draw, I wouldn't have been in it, so I made sure Italy got the message to back off of me or lose the stalemate. Regardless of what Russia was doing, those armies just didn't make the right moves and never should have been in that spot.
05 Aug 18 UTC 2WL made the right moves, though. He was passive toward you for a long time and took advantage when you got complacent.
05 Aug 18 UTC Funny, my wife's said the same thing about me
05 Aug 18 UTC Lol.
