13 May 18 UTC Spring, 1901: Moderator: (ghug): Welcome to the 2018 Gunboat Tournament!

You've been placed into seven games. If you're not in seven games, you haven't received each power exactly once, or you feel you've been put in the tournament in error, please contact me as soon as possible.

Games have been paused to ensure that nobody misses a phase due to the abnormal nature of the game starts. If you have not voted unpause by Wednesday, May 15th, I will contact you and begin docking from your seven days of allocated pause time in one day increments. If you need a pause, please let me know.

Good luck!
26 May 18 UTC Spring, 1902: Moderator: (ghug): As our phishing investigation has concluded, this game is being unpaused. I've reset the phase to give you time to get back up to speed, but feel free to ready up before then.

If you have any questions or concerns, address them to, and remember to be careful both here and elsewhere on the internet with your private info.

06 Jul 18 UTC Wp all.
06 Jul 18 UTC Good game Germany, bad game all the rest.
06 Jul 18 UTC Austria: if you had accepted my offer in Autumn 1903/Spring 1904 to take out Turkey and Russia instead of turning against me, this would have gone very differently. But you were too greedy.
06 Jul 18 UTC Italy what are you talking about? You are the reason Germany won. This game had no messaging so you couldn't have extended an offer to me. You attacked me, and kept attacking me instead of Germany while he grew.
07 Jul 18 UTC This is a gunboat game. The moves are the message. And if you look at Autumn 1903 / Spring 1904 the message is clearly friendly: if I wanted to attack you, I would have built in Venice (1903) and I would have moved toward you, not away from you (1904). I am just pointing it out to you that you declined this offer.
07 Jul 18 UTC That's fine, no hard feelings.
07 Jul 18 UTC Lol Autumn of 1903 you took Greece from me.....
07 Jul 18 UTC You got Bulgaria in exchange for that, as a result of my cooperation in the first place. As I said, you were to greedy, if you think I'll help you and you get all SC just for you. I could have taken Trieste and Vienna too if I wanted to attacked you.
07 Jul 18 UTC Anyway, if you were cooperative, you would have disbanded that fleet in 1903 and would have built an army.
07 Jul 18 UTC You my friend don't understand how this game works. Just because I'm going to gain a center doesn't justify you taking one of mine. You are in fact the greedy one for taking it. And you cancelled out my build. By doing that you didn't want to work together.
07 Jul 18 UTC So the "You attacked me, and kept attacking me instead of Germany while he grew." is wrong. As pointed out above you attacked me in 1904, and after that there was constant mutual aggression. Or did you ever make any friendly move afterwards, e.g. support holding one of my units? I don't think so...
07 Jul 18 UTC And while you two are arguing, those swiss bastards are winning....
07 Jul 18 UTC Just to make it clear: there wouldn't be a Bulgaria-gain for none of us if I didn't go to Aegean Sea in 1902. That's how the game works ;-)
07 Jul 18 UTC Don't know how much you play, but I supported you to Aegean so you would eventually pull a Lepento and attack Turkey. But instead you attacked me by taking Greece.
07 Jul 18 UTC Let's just say you both played terribly this game.
07 Jul 18 UTC As did everyone.
07 Jul 18 UTC Except robodirge.
07 Jul 18 UTC He was a savage.
07 Jul 18 UTC That's the easy way out, France. Of course he played well, but he had help. The hard truth is that Italy was way too little, way too late. Russia also could have actually given it a shot this phase and prevented the outcome for a little while but the fact that there was nobody hustling over to protect Iberia beginning in 1906 was atrocious.
07 Jul 18 UTC I agree with Turkey. Italy needed to take the Iberian Peninsula and possibly Mid-Atlantic to contain Germany.
