13 Jun 18 UTC Autumn, 1904: Draw?
13 Jun 18 UTC Autumn, 1904: Are the tournament rankings decided by this game's standings, or do our points in this game get calculated in the same way as before and added to our existing points?
13 Jun 18 UTC Autumn, 1904: This game standings only
16 Jun 18 UTC Autumn, 1904: I'm going to be traveling over Father's Day, and if I have any pause left, can I get a pause until Monday morning?
17 Jun 18 UTC Autumn, 1904: I've gotten Pause, but you may want to message the TD.
17 Jun 18 UTC Autumn, 1904: *voted
18 Jun 18 UTC Spring, 1905: Sorry, I was out for the weekend and then my phone died on return because of course it did. Seems we survived with time.
18 Jun 18 UTC Spring, 1905: Do we still need a pause?
19 Jun 18 UTC Spring, 1905: I am back. Looks like we did not pause. I probably need to wait to enter orders. I should have contacted a mod.

Is everyone OK with just waiting until tomorrow night to enter orders? It's wait for orders.
19 Jun 18 UTC Spring, 1905: Okay with me.
19 Jun 18 UTC Spring, 1905: It sounds like France doesn't need a pause as long as he doesn't have to enter orders until tonight, so I took down my pause vote. If that is incorrect, please let me know.
19 Jun 18 UTC Spring, 1905: That's my understanding too.
19 Jun 18 UTC Spring, 1905: While we're on the subject of pausing and not pausing, I have a request of my own. This game has lasted longer than my back-of-the-envelope math suggested it would at the start, and so it's coming up into two important activities for me: my wedding, this weekend, and my honeymoon, which begins next Tuesday. (Forgive me for being short on press this week!)

I'm fine playing up until my honeymoon but it gets dicey there. I'm flying to Madagascar and I don't really expect to have internet in Madagascar reliably, but I will be able to get online every 12 or 24 hours. So, 3 options.

1. A pause for the 12 days of my honeymoon from June 25 to July 9
2. A pause on June 25 and again on July 8/9 when I'm flying, and I can play in between
3. I can get a sitter?

What does the crowd prefer?
19 Jun 18 UTC Spring, 1905: Option one seems simplest, even if it is on the long side.
19 Jun 18 UTC Spring, 1905: Especially since there's a big American holiday right in the middle of that chunk of time, now that I think of it.
19 Jun 18 UTC Spring, 1905: Hey! One of my coworkers is doing the same thing! He got married a week ago, he will be taking 2 weeks for honeymoon next week. Congratz!
19 Jun 18 UTC Spring, 1905: Hey, congrats on the wedding. I'm fine with any combination of pauses.
19 Jun 18 UTC Spring, 1905: Do you guys work together?
19 Jun 18 UTC Spring, 1905: I'd prefer pauses to a sitter. Either 2 or 1 is fine with me.

This does set a bad precedent with respect to your future vacations and your bride's expectations for pauses.
19 Jun 18 UTC Spring, 1905: I feel like trying to play could make it a short marriage. Give her this one, I say.
19 Jun 18 UTC Spring, 1905: Yes, she already does get annoyed when she sees the diplo map on my phone :p

Thanks everyone. It sounds like the optimal solution is to pause for my honeymoon, so I'll vote to pause on Monday evening next week and I'll shout here when I'm flying back on the 8th so everyone has a warning before I try to unpause on the 9th.
25 Jun 18 UTC Autumn, 1905: If all goes according to plan, I'm getting on a plane around 7pm ET tomorrow and I will vote to pause then. Would appreciate it if everyone else could vote pause as soon as you see this, so that the game pauses when I put my vote in.
09 Jul 18 UTC Spring, 1906: I have returned, and cast my unpause vote.
09 Jul 18 UTC Spring, 1906: The honeymoon's over.
09 Jul 18 UTC Spring, 1906: And no one died!
10 Jul 18 UTC Spring, 1906: Boring
17 Jul 18 UTC Spring, 1907: Hey folks - have a family emergency this week (unrelated to my recent change in marital status!). Can I get a pause until the weekend please?
18 Jul 18 UTC Spring, 1907: A pause is fine with me.
18 Jul 18 UTC Spring, 1907: I'm also going to need a pause Wed-Fri of next week :/
20 Jul 18 UTC Spring, 1907: Moderator: (damian): You guys are killing me, as I’d love to wrap up this tournament. But so long as everyone consents you can continue to pause as needed.
20 Jul 18 UTC Spring, 1907: Summer's hard, man.
20 Jul 18 UTC Spring, 1907: I'm also down to draw. Momentum on this one has died.
21 Jul 18 UTC Spring, 1907: They're killing me too.
21 Jul 18 UTC Spring, 1907: I’m fine pausing or drawing.
21 Jul 18 UTC Spring, 1907: I am back now. Thanks for agreeing to the pause everyone, the past couple days have been something.

I would take a draw now, too, for the reasons others have mentioned.
22 Jul 18 UTC Spring, 1907: I am fine with a draw, if we can finish with this year so I can be tied.
24 Jul 18 UTC Spring, 1907: Gonna need my pause once the phase goes through.
28 Jul 18 UTC Whoops, voted without saying I'm back. I'm back.
28 Jul 18 UTC I can accept ckr's terms for a draw...so let's do it..
29 Jul 18 UTC Alright, we done?
30 Jul 18 UTC Gg. Sorry for doubting you at the end, Stack. <3

Sorry I stabbed you Tom. <3

Sorry I killed you immediately again, Ezio. <3

Congrats, THM. Sorry I couldn't save you, Chosen.

Ck, I hate playing with you because I think you're very boring. Pissing people off is often a good thing in these games, and I like you for the most part, so take that as you will.

30 Jul 18 UTC Boring is a strategy.
30 Jul 18 UTC Does it ever solo?
30 Jul 18 UTC I used to be boring, and there are a lot of classically "top" players I feel this way about, so I'm not totally passing judgement, but it seems like it just gets draws.
30 Jul 18 UTC GG guys! To be honest, I was thrown way off after the first long pause, my head just wasn’t in the game after that.
30 Jul 18 UTC I still don’t understand why you gave up on your attack on France chosen? Was it just persuasive press from the Frenchman that lead you to back off?
30 Jul 18 UTC Unlikely
30 Jul 18 UTC GG everyone. I wasn't even the only person eliminated.
