19 Jun 18 UTC Pretty interesting fights in this one!
19 Jun 18 UTC Fortress, you gave me a scare when you came east in Autumn 1929, thought you were going to throw it to Russia. Thanks for having faith!
19 Jun 18 UTC I think I could've taken the solo when Fortress went east, but my code wouldn't allow it.
19 Jun 18 UTC Yes, Claeser, thanks for that. I was pleasantly surprised that you did not pounce on that opportunity - could have got messy!
19 Jun 18 UTC Turkey, you building two fleets scared the shit out of me. It seemed like you and Russia were trying to 2 way. Why did you build those fleets?
19 Jun 18 UTC It also made me think he was trying to 2-way.
19 Jun 18 UTC I don't understand what code wouldn't allow you to go for a solo, isn't that the objective of the game?
19 Jun 18 UTC Thanks Italy and Russia. That is useful feedback about the fleet build. I did think about the possibility of a 2-way but discounted it. I was not playing for that at any point. I guess the reason I built fleets was that I thought they might be more useful than armies. Better choice would have been to skip the build, right?
20 Jun 18 UTC Yes, skipping builds might've been the best choice, though I didn't check whether your fleets were necessary in the end.

Xorxes, I tried for a solo. I failed. Then I tried to cut the draw. If people allow themselves to suddenly try for a solo while removing the unnecessaries, no one would ever do so anymore and we'd see a lot more 4-way and 5-way draws.
20 Jun 18 UTC So you think more 3wd and fewer solos is a better outcome than more solos and more 4/5wd? Strange, especially when the solo would go to you. I would still go for the solo when given a chance though, even if that risks letting someone in the draw that could have been eliminated if I didn't go for the solo.
20 Jun 18 UTC Yes, the former option sounds fine to me.
20 Jun 18 UTC Besides, if the risk of getting eliminated becomes bigger for smaller nations, there will be more solos as they take more risks to carve out a more stable part of the draw.
20 Jun 18 UTC GG all. It was the most competitive game I have played so far, and in retrospect I can see the mistakes I did.
Russia, well done with advancing on German territory after my poor attack
20 Jun 18 UTC I could only do that thanks to French efforts. I felt bad for attacking him afterwards, but I couldn't see another avenue that would work out favourably for me.
20 Jun 18 UTC The number of games where we keep 6 countries in until 1926 is very small. I had a lot of fun.
