Thanks. That definitely accelerated my victory significantly, but I think I could probably have won even without that. I was simply faster at picking up the Western centers than you could have picked up eastern centers. That seems to be a key weakness in Italy. The centers on its side of the stalemate line (Austria and Russia) are far more easily contested than the centers on Germany's side of the stalemate line (France and Iberia). The one game I did well with Italy involved making gains primarily in the west while making enough lucky guesses to avoid collapsing in the east. |
