22 Apr 18 UTC huh
I figured I'd take a shot and see if everyone wanted the draw, guess they did lolololol

PS my goodness were my moves trash a few years ago
22 Apr 18 UTC anyway gg all :)
22 Apr 18 UTC good game all.
22 Apr 18 UTC out of curiosity, why were I/A in favor of the draw? I can certainly see why Germany voted for it, seems less obvious why from the other two, particularly Austria.
22 Apr 18 UTC Thanks all. Gg
22 Apr 18 UTC I did consider trying for a solo back before Italy stabbed me. I decided against it because I would have needed fleets which I had not built in order to eliminate Italy. So, I decided to play for a 3-way draw. I imagined a I/A alliance elimating France or Germany. My mistake I think was to push too fast towards Germany. Italy, I’m curious on your perspective- did you attack me because you were afraid I would solo, or because you thought you could?
22 Apr 18 UTC I was playing from the perspective that Austria was going to try to solo. Honestly, if I was Austria, I would have stabbed me in back in 1907, and once it was clear Austria was going to get into Norway and St. Petersburg, I knew the only way to stop that solo run (if Austria had chosen to do so) was to let France actually use his fleets to push Austria back to his side, so I had to back off France, and decided to take the first real stab shot I had.

My draw was up the moment it became a four way. I assume Austria's went up because it was clear there was no way he was going to be able to pull off the solo, since I about to start pushing him back out of Trieste, although I kept my draw up because he was pulling a ton of units down to me
22 Apr 18 UTC FWIW, I was also basically waiting for the right time to retake Marseilles. Thought about doing it in 1910 and again in 1911, but figured that Italy needing to destroy and Italy being PO'd at me were both more problematic than the benefit of a +1. I'd probably slam into Marseilles at the first indication of Italy heading west tho *shrugs*
22 Apr 18 UTC Gg all, I am glad I was able to stand against Austria as much as I could. Made some hard moves but all in all.... you guys had a great game and I am lucky to have survived :)
22 Apr 18 UTC thanks you too :)
I think I was going to try and kill you after I'd pushed austria out of scandinavia and maybe before that, but I'm guessing that's why you were moving into Denmark ;)
22 Apr 18 UTC France the moment you went for Marseillies I was going to throw the game to Austria and he would have soloed. I was worried about that happening
22 Apr 18 UTC also nice job standing up to my early game offensive. I made some mis-moves a few times, but it's still gj to survive as Germany when France goes after you and Italy and England are both super cool with my doing that.
22 Apr 18 UTC "France the moment you went for Marseillies I was going to throw the game to Austria and he would have soloed. I was worried about that happening"

you begin to see why I didn't go for Marseilles :P
I was quite worried about you potentially throwing it to Austria, so I don't think I'd have gone for it unless you moved against me first or I KNEW I could stand up to "everyone kill France"
I entered moves ot Marseilles a few times but ultimately decided it was better to keep you afloat as a shield against Austria than it was to take a single center that ultimately didn't matter that much

though if ever I got close to establishing the versailles line in the east I was definitely taking it :P
22 Apr 18 UTC "in the west" lol
23 Apr 18 UTC Good game from all of us defeated early ;)
23 Apr 18 UTC Sounds like I should have gone for a solo! Even from where we are here, it might not have taken much for France/Germany or France/Italy to start fighting again.
23 Apr 18 UTC I mean I know I was treating the game as a stop the leader alliance from the moment I stabbed. Weren't you trying to solo after I went for you?
23 Apr 18 UTC I wasn’t trying to solo before or after you went for me. I did not have my draw up before you went for me (holding out for a 3-way). I put my draw in pretty much as soon as I could see all three of you were focused on stopping me. I could see how I could possibly win, but I overlooked the possibility that you would start fighting against one another again. Who was the last to vote draw?
23 Apr 18 UTC I was last. Figured eliminating Germany was gonna be a long slog so might as well see if it’s draw for any easy positive result.
23 Apr 18 UTC That makes sense. We could have made pretty quick work of Germany together though! That was what I was hoping for
23 Apr 18 UTC Well I was nervous about you soloing:P
That’s why I wanted to kick you out of Scandinavia, which would largely ensure you couldn’t solo barring a major Italian throw
