29 Mar 18 UTC I hate you guys
29 Mar 18 UTC But kidding I love you all
29 Mar 18 UTC Any tips for me on how to best y’all? I feel like I should’ve tried to push for Munich a lot sooner and left Russia till later
29 Mar 18 UTC I think we soon saw that we had to prevent Italy from winning. Since Russia and France all did the right things, they deserved to be in the draw, from my perspective.
Really enjoyable game, I liked the juggling around Belgium and Northern France.
Sorry for England; he played well. But for a rewarding draw, some countries must be defeated. England was not needed for the stalemate line.

What I also really enjoyed was the pace: not a single NMR and sometimes 5 steps per day. Thanks all (including Turkey, Austria and England that did not drop out went things went sour)!!
29 Mar 18 UTC I don't think you ever had a real shot. By the time you were secure, Germany had locked down the Med and his home centers.
29 Mar 18 UTC Although I was worried for a while when Germany didn't help me hold the stalemate line that included sev/war/mos.
29 Mar 18 UTC As a tip you asked for: I don't think you really had a lot of opportunities to take Munich. Everytime you were in Tyrolia, I covered it.
Looking at the players and their scores: France, Russia and I have a lot of games under our belts. We quickly see when a player might solo and then work towards the stalemate line. Hence no stabbing in the latter years. Even though it is gunboat, experienced players are not going to stab each other in the end.

Only thing that could have given more points: if you had moved away from Iberia, I might have been tempted to stab France and take his position to split 40 points. Since you supported him in MAO, I did not see that as a viable option.
29 Mar 18 UTC True. I was hoping you wouldn’t know what to do, but when you backed into Norway to hold StP I knew there was no more chance for a solo.

Good game. Lots of fun. Let’s do it again sometime
29 Mar 18 UTC To make sure we had enough time to set up the stalemate, I realized (1 turn later than I should have) that Russia needed an extra centre in the South. Hence my support for him into Liverpool. He needed an army more than I did.
29 Mar 18 UTC @germany. That makes sense. I guess I was worried about you being able to solo if I gave up Mao
29 Mar 18 UTC Which seems rather doltish now
29 Mar 18 UTC To Russia: I always fear the Sev Mos War line. It keeps to many options. With the traditional 17-17, there is no room for trying things.
I first thought: where is that fleet going? Then I realized late that you needed an extra centre to hold out.

Well played, we really understood each other and trusted each other.
For me, letting the fleet for St Pet sc go to Sweden and then pass it through to Norway makes for a much stabler Ger/Rus Alliance. I think you understood soon what I intended and was not upset with me taking Sweden.
29 Mar 18 UTC @Germany

I also had no choice but to trust you in the opening because everybody in the south wanted to kill me.

I was afraid you'd try to cut me out at the end, which is why I went north to nor/stp. I wanted to be able to hand Italy stp if you set up to cut me out.
29 Mar 18 UTC Also, France's mission to walk two armies all the way across the map was hilarious. He almost made it too!
29 Mar 18 UTC GG all.
30 Mar 18 UTC Hey, GG all for sure! Taking VIE was a total accident, I figured it would be a bounce and Austria would be able to hold out longer, then when i ended up in Berlin too, I figured what the hell lol; gave me units to burn when Germany marched into France.

Thanks all, and thanks for keeping me alive for the stalemate :)
