02 Apr 18 UTC I would be OK with a tie if you would.
02 Apr 18 UTC Yeah, why not? Just up to Italy and Turkey.
02 Apr 18 UTC I am not sure what either of them expect to have different. Turkey would get a teeny tiny bump in dots, but that would be offset by Yonni or me having that gain in tournament points. If I weren't so naturally cautious, I'd be against it.
02 Apr 18 UTC I won't say no to surviving this shitshow lol
02 Apr 18 UTC Teeny tiny bump in dots can mean making top board
02 Apr 18 UTC Well, maybe. It depends on whether eturnage is hypothetically fighting the winner of the contet between Yonni and me for seventh.
03 Apr 18 UTC The dot grabbing isn't worth it.
03 Apr 18 UTC I needed the points though. I was eliminated in the other games.
03 Apr 18 UTC I have a feeling the margin between 7th and 8th will be greater than the 7 bonus points you get from finishing third. Probably be a week or two before we know though.
03 Apr 18 UTC No way I'm in the hunt. I needed the points just to avoid getting bumped downward. I have no shot at the top board.
03 Apr 18 UTC I think Yonni and CK split the seven bonus points, so 9.5 each for this game. I've got a total of 26 for the whole set of games.
03 Apr 18 UTC Gg guys. Eturnage, how many were you gonna grab from me?
03 Apr 18 UTC Neat.

I assume Stack that you intended to take Holland and Belgium>
03 Apr 18 UTC ?
03 Apr 18 UTC I was trying to figure out how many SCs eturnage was going to take from Yonni so that I could force you and Yonni to tie. I was probably going to take Munich and support Yonni to Rome, hoping that put both of you on 5.

I need a good result in my last game to have a shot, but if either you are or Yonni get more marginal positions in your remaining games, then either of you have 4ish fewer points as a result of that seemed like a better bet in my head than figuring who to allocate all 7 bonus points to.
03 Apr 18 UTC *either of you having 4 fewer points owin to tying instead of making a clean 3rs, tbc
03 Apr 18 UTC I just got stabbed in my R3 game so it's looking tough there. Happy to have this game over with though. None of them are going that well when I've got this many on the go.
03 Apr 18 UTC The bottom line I arrived at, though, is that since I got one 0pt game and you've both got good a chance at a good result in 2/3 games and some points in this game, you're both ahead of me no matter what in the race for the top board. That conclusion made it hard to see these last couple moves as consequential.
03 Apr 18 UTC I was planning on trying for Trieste, Budapest, and Moscow. I could only take two for sure unless you left Trieste open. I assumed Yonni would get Rom and Nap and maybe Munich. Eventually, I would have talked to Stack. Would Consider supporting CK to Bud to make sure he and Yonni stayed even. I would have coordinated with Stack to give us a better chance to make sure you tied, I think.

All games are 1 point--even eliminations.
03 Apr 18 UTC Stack and I were openly discussing the points system and he did a great rambling analysis that inspired me to re-read the points rules.
