02 Jan 18 UTC Spring, 1901: Hi! Sorry for taking this long to join, I was expecting this to start in January. Also, sorry for not letting you know in the forum when I'd join, I got a bit confused with the new forum.

Still, good luck to all! I'll hopefully manage to send some messages in the next few hours.
02 Jan 18 UTC Spring, 1901: Likewise! happy new year everyone!
02 Jan 18 UTC Spring, 1901: I'm glad you didn't join until January. Much better start time for everybody, I would assume. :)
02 Jan 18 UTC Spring, 1901: I hope Italy logs in today. It's been a few.
02 Jan 18 UTC Spring, 1901: Indeed! In the end, I thought so as well. As for Italy, I had checked before joining the game, and Italy logged on the site today or yesterday. Still, it seems Italy will log soon. If now, we can easily email the mods. After all, it can barely be considered Italy's fault, as, thanks to me, we took a while to get started in some sort of surprise fashion.
03 Jan 18 UTC Spring, 1901: Italy is not the best nation probably, but it is here ;) Have fun and a nice game.
06 Jan 18 UTC Spring, 1902: Paused? Why?
06 Jan 18 UTC Spring, 1902: Probably because of Turkey?
06 Jan 18 UTC Spring, 1902: Now Turkey saved an order.
08 Jan 18 UTC Autumn, 1902: Well, I was tied up all day so apologies for all the unresponded to press. Nothing personal to anyone!
11 Jan 18 UTC Autumn, 1903: I wished I had a good nation and besser possibilities to kill the French liar... he is a noob, but Italy sucks.
11 Jan 18 UTC Autumn, 1903: I wished I had a good nation and better possibilities to kill the French liar... he is a noob, but Italy sucks.
23 Jan 18 UTC Spring, 1906: GG Germany!
23 Jan 18 UTC Spring, 1906: gg Germany, you were a reliable player!
26 Jan 18 UTC Autumn, 1906: Turkey puts a great show and wins Sewastopol
26 Jan 18 UTC Autumn, 1906: Russia begs for mercy and cries 'Uncle'!
26 Jan 18 UTC Autumn, 1906: It is wrong to attack Turkey - he is a nice player, there are some bigger threats on the map. Although I helped Austria at the beginning to attack Turkey, I made only good experiences with Turkey.
26 Jan 18 UTC Autumn, 1906: On the other side, Austria betrayed me and doesnt hold word.
26 Jan 18 UTC Autumn, 1906: Well I had Russia begging for mercy at the beginning of the game but of course Austria wanted a strong ally but not that strong of an ally? I don't know, even though it worked out for him I still don't know what he was thinking.
26 Jan 18 UTC Autumn, 1906: Draw? :) My vote is up. Think about it!
26 Jan 18 UTC Autumn, 1906: Funny. My experience is the opposite. Turkey lied at every opportunity and Austria has been rock solid.
26 Jan 18 UTC Autumn, 1906: I remember teaming up with Austria against you, then Austria backstabbed me, I offered to team up again and you didn't respond so I took it as a "No" and continued on with my assault.
27 Jan 18 UTC Autumn, 1906: This was a really weird game so far. Turkey's strong anti-Russian opening, coupled with its slightly unusual, by my experience, press style, along with Russia actually respecting the DMZ, made me fear something. I'm paranoid when playing Austria, and I then chose not to bet everything on siding with Turkey. I'm sorry to have disappointed your initial enthusiasm!, though, as you've noticed, it somehow worked out fine for me.

Italy seems like a nice person, but definitely someone who approaches the game in a way very different from mine. While I might have to apologize for not checking the game before moves, my move to Greece had been mentioned in my suggested moves, and I did indeed enter the support into Bulgaria. As for the move to Tyrolia, I take no blame, as Italy moved there on its own initiative the very same season.

Even though Italy did argue that the move was unsupported because it was not an attack, but rather a manoeuvre to move the army from Piedmont, where it was causing France to complain, whilst remaining somewhere useful, the fact that Italy would not conceive how Tyrolia would not be an 'ok' place for the army to be is enough evidence that our understandings of board dynamics are way too far apart for us to cooperate. Instead, having a neighbour - imagine an ally! - with such different conception of what's acceptable and what's not is an intolerable liability.
27 Jan 18 UTC Autumn, 1906: Tyrolia is very dangerous. Italy appeared to be looking for a bounce, otherwise Venice would of supported. You should of ounces with Italy in Tyrolia, then he would of been fine. But again, it all worked out for you.

Also Austria, what the hell was so abnormal about my press style?
27 Jan 18 UTC Autumn, 1906: This is silly, I admit, but it seeme almost unfeasible for you to be so thoroughly committed to fighting Russia, throwing all you had at Russia, without seeing one movement of mine, all while Russia apparently allowed you to have this advantage. When you're a paranoid Austria, these highly unusual things, however positive, will make you fear something not so positive is being hidden. I'm sorry I did not believe your actual intentions due to unreasonable fears!
27 Jan 18 UTC Spring, 1907: Thanks Austria for explaining your decisions and describing me as a nice person. In fact, France demanded that I retreat from Pie and I expected to bounce in Tyrolia (as said I did not support the move with another army).
27 Jan 18 UTC Spring, 1907: But you did not ask me to bounce you at all!
04 Feb 18 UTC Autumn, 1908: Italy is not always bad. Sometimes you can achieve a good result: http://webdiplomacy.net/board.php?gameID=215660#gamePanel
08 Feb 18 UTC Autumn, 1909: Hey all. I am heading out to the wilderness (likely no cell coverage) for a week on Sunday, so if we really like to finish this up before then. It's just 5 phases (plus this one) so we could get it done if we could finalize orders before deadline just a couple times. Thanks!
08 Feb 18 UTC Autumn, 1909: Just pause the game right?
08 Feb 18 UTC Autumn, 1909: Pause for a whole week when we could just easily finish it up? I'd rather just finish up myself.
09 Feb 18 UTC Autumn, 1910: Wow!! This is going to be exciting.
10 Feb 18 UTC Autumn, 1910: GG all!
11 Feb 18 UTC Moderator: (damian): You've hit the time limit. Congrats! I'll have scores posted later :)
