17 Feb 18 UTC What a wild ride. I got so damn close to a solo as Austria which I think I’ve never done in gunboat (I can’t recall doing it if I ever have) but Tugster held out for so long as Turkey and McBride pushed me out of St Pete with good speed.

McBride, it seems like you put to very good use my teachings as your mentor. Excellent 2-way draw, which I can’t recall ever getting in diplomacy before ever in my life, even in a press game. But you maintained the stalemate line and pulled off the 2 way after shutting down my solo. Very very cool.

Earlier on I thought we had such a good alliance, and I thought we would go to a 3-way draw, but once I got st Pete I had a shot at a solo and I wasn’t gonna say no to that. I’m still disappointed with myself I couldn’t pull it off somehow
18 Feb 18 UTC well, man how I hate losing, but I did my duty to deny Austria all the points...!
18 Feb 18 UTC Tugster you did manage to get in that parting shot, I salute you
18 Feb 18 UTC Really the big turning point was France's decision to attack Italy, mid game, big mistake, created very powerful Germany and Austria both as it pulled off Italy from the Austrian front. Nothing I could do as Turkey. Very weird way that France did it too. First he attacked Italy, and then he poked at Ruhr in Germany with no real force, sort of just rubbed salt in his eye to piss him off. Then ,ever worse, he pressed his attacks on Italy even while Germany was invading France. And what was the end results?

Dead France, uber powerful Germany and Austria, both. Dead England, Dead Turkey, Dead Russia. Nothing we could do.
18 Feb 18 UTC I Agree. It felt like Christmas for me when France attacked Italy. I imagined, towards the end, that France was trying to tip either me or Germany into going for a and hoped he was going to make it into the draw by virtue of Iberian centers being too hard for either Germany or Austria to take.

Curupira do you have any EoG commentary?
18 Feb 18 UTC plus those fleet moves into Piedmont were, er, less than ideal....
18 Feb 18 UTC No regrets. In a Draw Sized Scoring game, I have managed to survive till the end. It's the first time in almost two hundred games gunboat in this that I see the two dominant powers not allow the third one to survive.
18 Feb 18 UTC But no complaints about.
Fair enough.
18 Feb 18 UTC I attacked Ruhr to allow England going Belgium.
18 Feb 18 UTC Alliance with England could have gone suscessful. Germany played very well.
18 Feb 18 UTC Maybe some errors were done. Not sure if it were bad guesses or errors. Sometimes we win sometimes we lose.
