Thanks all for a great game. What a journey its been for me. When I decided to strike out on my own for the Solo, i realised the i would have to accomplish so much, my Solo journey started from 13 SCs at the point that I broke with my main alliance partner - France, in 1908.

In the first year of the Solo attempt I grabbed +2 SCs and I.knew I had to get another three to win. But I knew there were so many places they could come from. A) the fractured and divided middle-Austria ground that was occupied by small holdouts IA, and then also looking at England for two more. Thinking that FRA will expect me to come on hard into BUR and strike at the centre of FRA, I decided a strategy to.quickly build fleets and win the Island was best. FRA also had to catch me by mobilising from a long way South, so striking for the Island seemed the best way to maximise this advantage.

Thanks in order to the Powers that made this possible for me. Firstly and most importantly - Turkey. Incompetent builds, incompetent use of Units, bad diplomatic relations with Germany. Zero assistance rendered to actually help any other Powers stop me from going for the Solo. Thanks Turkey - you were great. My German armies mercilessly smacked Turkish armies all over the Board. Embarrassing.

Secondly - a genuine thanks to France, we built the game defining mid Game alliance. We had a good alliance that went 1903 - 1907, before I decided to Stab out for the solo in 1908. Unfortunately for FRA, he was capably resisted by some dogged Italian sea defence in the South. This gave me another year of breathing to have an absolute solid position in Russia / Austria. Early on in Game, France and myself decided to Sealion on England and take it out. At this point I realised the risk this would pose to Germany from a subsequent F-R pincer movement against Germany. Therefore I managed to prioritise it to dominate Scandinavia and Northern Russia, at the same time as FRA mostly consolidated England - well done. After FRA and myself achieved that we set a very good peace treaty which fairly divided the North and kept us apart from each other.
It was only FRAs overreach to the South, plus sensing the lack of resistance I'd get from Turkey (due to all the Fleets which could essentially do nothing) that convinced me to go for the SOLO.

Italy was a canny and shrewd player - I'm sure. Made good tactical moves. I feared his tactical brain more than anything else in my Solo push. Whether Turkey and France would be willing to tightly coordinate with him though ?? That's what I bet against.

Good game everyone and played in good spirits with no Civil Disorders...excellent. Damo Player of Germany, October-2017
15 Oct 17 UTC Sweet talker here. Couldn't accept me not giving what you asked. Simple mind.

1906: I want BUD. Lets you concentrate on wrapping this Game up quickly and you take GRE.

Spring, 1907: We will bounce in Budapest. I will get Greece while Italy is countering France.

Spring, 1907: I'll take BUD by force right now - fuck off.
15 Oct 17 UTC Hard to see an answer to his bigger criticism that you spent your time support holding yourself in the corner, allowing him to get to 18 with barely any opposition.

(And there was one CD - Italy, I took over.)
15 Oct 17 UTC It was France, not me who was the main candidate to attack Germany. I was in the defence.
15 Oct 17 UTC If you'd built armies instead of fleets you'd have pushed through the middle. If you'd used your fleets to support my position in the Ionian Sea/Tunis then Germany couldn't have got Tyrolia and Trieste.
