24 Nov 17 UTC I love our neopolitan ice cream map
24 Nov 17 UTC Oh wow. May favorite flavor for Thanksgiving.
24 Nov 17 UTC wow some big hitters were here. Salute.
24 Nov 17 UTC Great game! Wusti thats new to me. Not sure weve ever played together actually
24 Nov 17 UTC Hey BB well hell I thought you would've been Austria for sure! To be honest this is what's wrong with GR - mine is upwards of 1000 these days - tis a damned travesty!
24 Nov 17 UTC Haha damn Ogion rolled so early - I'm doing a happy dance right now!
24 Nov 17 UTC What did I ever do to you, wusti?
24 Nov 17 UTC Nothing really - I just don't like how pompous and arrogant you are on the forums :D
24 Nov 17 UTC Lol. Better to just let crap slide. Right
24 Nov 17 UTC Funny how standing up for the vulnerable and against injustice gets interpreted as arrogant. Webdip does almost more to convince me people are basically shit that almost any other forum.
24 Nov 17 UTC Russias opening was pretty bad for Austria and bad in general
24 Nov 17 UTC Says she who gave away Denmark in 1901.
Austria’s move into Ukraine was this Game’s utmost folly, closely followed by Germany’s weak-kneed “moving over, Darling” to England.
24 Nov 17 UTC Yes, the Ukraine move was bad, but was made worse by Russia's inability to change gears after
24 Nov 17 UTC My giving England Denmark forged an alliance that stood the test of time and rewarded me in time
24 Nov 17 UTC To be honest it enabled us to wipe you out Russia - I don't think that makes it a stupid move.
Irrespective of any personal inclination to go for solos (which I do in just about every game and get smacked down too often - hence my horrible GR), in this game I didn't just honor the alliance with Germany out of the goodness of my heart.
France was a shit - plain and simple. He was a terrible ally, constantly doubting and attempting to dictate moves that were wholly unnecessary. With his attitude I knew that he had to go at some point, and frankly given the horrible play in the East, Turkey was always going to end up in a position to stop the solo, and hold the line with France most likely, as Germany was the only one open enough for a stab at the right time.
Given the play to that point, my run for a solo would've failed and only given France a place in the draw that I believed he did not deserve, so I stayed the distance with Germany and invited Turkey in to finish off.
24 Nov 17 UTC But make no mistake I wouldn't have been in that position to make the call without the solid alliance work with Germany. BB's only mis-step was that phase or 2 when he doubted, but the moment for the stab had already passed. I nearly did do it when I moved into Kiel and was going to grab another centre from North Sea neutering him in one phase, but for once did some serious extrapolation to work through the likelihood of success, and deemed it a no go - I could get to 16 but the last ones were a bridge too far.
