World Diplomacy IX, Anonymous players, Draw-Size Scoring
Game won by isaacfevans (220 D)
22 Sep 17 UTC Autumn, 2011: [Libya]:Cool. I'm not going to pick a fight with you, and if you want to give it a go, best of luck. But I'm not ready to aid you in growing an already gigantic empire. I'll be your friendly neighbor to the north, and so long as our territory isn't in conflict, we'll remain partners in peace.
23 Sep 17 UTC Autumn, 2011: [Western-Canada]:South Africa is CLEARLY going for a solo, and when he breaks past me, he will have his solo, and we all see it. He has india broken, with easily supportable convoys into Guangzhou. In 1-2 seasons, he will have multiple armies in asia and will be well on his way to a solo.

I will cast a draw vote now, but we all know that south Africa is voting against a draw because he has an easy solo, and plans to cash that in.
25 Sep 17 UTC Spring, 2012: [Libya]:The whole world could easily team up to fight South Africa. But great diplomat that you are, you've bullied me into preferring a defeat to South Africa than an alliance with you.
25 Sep 17 UTC Spring, 2012: [Western-Canada]:south Africa, I don't know what you did to make Ghana and Libya GIVE you a solo so easily; but it's going to take you longer to kill me than them. wipe 'em out

two players, both playing the strong second strategy in a draw size scoring game

this is revolting play by both Ghana and Libya

intentionally giving the game to another player is the entire reason we have DSS games; to prevent people like Libya and Ghana from ruining games by intentionally suiciding while another player is gifted and easy solo

good solo, SAf
but you did meet 2 suicidal players both working VERY hard to make sure YOU got a solo win

that is a tainted victory in a DSS game
26 Sep 17 UTC Autumn, 2012: [Libya]:Just to let everyone know, my computer died, so I'm playing on my phone. If my messages seem shorter than normal or contain typos, that's why. That said, I will continue to do my best to communicate clearly and quickly.
04 Oct 17 UTC Autumn, 2014: [Western-Canada]:jesus christ you people are freaking revolting

DRAW SIZE SCORING, ASSHOLES
04 Oct 17 UTC Autumn, 2014: [Libya]:I know it’s futile to point this out, but has your ‘being a complete asshole’ approach helped you at all?
04 Oct 17 UTC Autumn, 2014: [Libya]:Sorry, I’m not being fair to you. You’re not being an asshole, simply practicing the most misguided approach to chainsaw diplomacy I’ve ever seen carried out.
04 Oct 17 UTC Autumn, 2014: [Libya]:For people who want to understand what Western Canada is trying to do, here’s an interesting article about its application in traditional Diplomacy:

http://www.diplomatic-pouch.org/Zine/W1998A/Windsor/Chainsaw.html

I’m sure the astute observer can see how his approach is an fools imitation of what can be a decent tactic for the game.
04 Oct 17 UTC Autumn, 2014: [South-Africa]:That was a good read, but I don't know if it applies - he's been the same in all his interactions with me. And what purpose could it serve in this case?
04 Oct 17 UTC Autumn, 2014: [Libya]:Oh, by no means do I think he understands the theory or knows how to practice it. It’s simply his justification for being a loud dolt.
05 Oct 17 UTC Spring, 2015: [Western-Canada]:you guys are pathetic beyond words

draw size scoring game, and for the ENTIRE game (except 1 season for Libya) you've been working very hard to secure a solo for another player

but I'm the bad guy, and I MADE you give SAf a solo, because I was a big fat meanie

cry me a river you retards

you dumb fucks have been throwing the game away all along, and then at the last moment you blame me for your lack of spine, you blame me for YOUR not attacking SAf, because I wasn't nice enough to you?!?

yes, you would TOTALLY have attacked SAf, if I had jus been nice
its MY fault you never attacked him
FUCK YOU
05 Oct 17 UTC Spring, 2015: [Ghana]:Why are you so mad, bro?
05 Oct 17 UTC Spring, 2015: [China]:...I think he made that fairly clear, Ghana.
05 Oct 17 UTC Spring, 2015: [Libya]:One day your going to shout like an asshole and convince. I’m just certain.

And I’m not blaming you for the board state. I’m just saying you’ve done nothing to help yourself.
05 Oct 17 UTC Spring, 2015: [Ghana]:I didn't get it China, but then I don't speak asshole.
05 Oct 17 UTC Spring, 2015: [Europe]:no one cares
08 Oct 17 UTC [South-Africa]:You should have listened to the USA - that's when I could have been stopped. I betrayed Argentina, then Frozen Antarctica, then Brazil, then India, (and now Ghana) and yet none of you did anything.

I guess it was partly that Ghana's vulnerability to me in central Africa, and reliance on me in the Atlantic, meant they had no option but to support me vs Libya if the tripartite African alliance ever broke down. This then meant Libya couldn't attack without being flanked. It basically neutered the two powers needed for a successful coalition against me. The other major factor was that I controlled the seas while most of you focused on armies, meaning most of your units were unable to even reach me, and were more use fighting each other.
08 Oct 17 UTC [Russia]:i like very much last move of west canada in yakutsk.
i never see a stupid move like this
08 Oct 17 UTC [Western-Canada]:SAf won because Ghana and Libya both played a strong-second strategy
they both worked VERY hard to make certain SAf got a solo

when you have 3 people doing everything they can to make one single person solo, its an easy bet

SAf played well, stabbing each moron at the right time, while keeping the two bitches as his personal lap-dogs
