04 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 1994: that was maybe the most fairly divided first round of diplomacy ever
12 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 1996: Wasn't sure if everyone is aware of this or not, but the turn will progress either when the time runs out, or after everyone submits order and then presses the 'Ready' button.
12 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 1996: woah savage
13 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 1996: Lol
17 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 1997: Jeeze I come in just to helping speed your game and Ukraine and Turkey walk away.
19 Aug 17 UTC Spring, 1998: Sorry france
19 Aug 17 UTC Spring, 1998: No worries I could read the map going in. I literally was just helping speed up the game.
23 Aug 17 UTC Spring, 1999: New Britain
27 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 2000: Hi new Britain.
27 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 2000: I'm waiting for a New italy...
27 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 2000: What's wrong with the old Italy?
27 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 2000: Lol
30 Aug 17 UTC Spring, 2001: it is impossible to play this kind of game when someone ignore the simple rule of this game
30 Aug 17 UTC Spring, 2001: Which is???
30 Aug 17 UTC Spring, 2001: It is impossible to ignore the rules - they are automated.
30 Aug 17 UTC Spring, 2001: I'm waiting for a New italy.
30 Aug 17 UTC Spring, 2001: Try a new game?
04 Sep 17 UTC Autumn, 2002: Almost done!
04 Sep 17 UTC Autumn, 2002: True;)
09 Sep 17 UTC Spring, 2004: We will draw at the end of year after Germany and Poland are officially eliminated.
10 Sep 17 UTC Autumn, 2004: Hold off one more round until Spain officially kills Germany?
10 Sep 17 UTC Autumn, 2004: Yes.
10 Sep 17 UTC Autumn, 2004: Germany has no SCs but still hasn't been officially eliminated. After the build phase then.
10 Sep 17 UTC Autumn, 2004: Congratulations and thanks to my allies. This proved to be a dominating alliance. We really steamrolled the map. I wonder why I haven't seen it done before.
10 Sep 17 UTC Autumn, 2004: well probally because if this game had continued you would have been picked apart by a collective effort. I can see spain and egypt always working together but for whatever reason i have never seen italy ally long term with either spain or egypt.
10 Sep 17 UTC Autumn, 2004: Indeed congrats to all of us.
11 Sep 17 UTC Autumn, 2004: its a shame the pot wasn't greater than 5, we would have all benifitted greatly from a 30 point bet
11 Sep 17 UTC Autumn, 2004: I'm kinda happy it was 5, this was my first game of Diplomacy I've ever played (on site or off), so the low barrier of entry is why I wound up here.
11 Sep 17 UTC dude, i would have never guessed that. congragulations
11 Sep 17 UTC Likewise Cosmo. There were times I thought your moves were suboptimal but overall you did not play like a beginner. GG!
11 Sep 17 UTC Thanks. Helps to have good allies
11 Sep 17 UTC We couldn't have done it without italy
11 Sep 17 UTC Spain starts out so small seeming in this game but it seems like they are in the end game 9/10 times.
11 Sep 17 UTC Yes, they have a strong defensive position. I have seen experienced France get stonewalled when attempting to invade it, even with the help of Britain. But I haven't seen it solo either. I have seen solos by 8, but not Britain or Spain, though both are frequently part of the end draw.
11 Sep 17 UTC thats cause being on the edge of the board is an overwhelming advantage to survival early on
