21 Jul 17 UTC Great job DJ. Well played and well deserved. About time. And you played well with Britain, which is if I recall a power you like to play and others don't know how to play well.

Paul, up until the end you did have the ability to force a draw but you made 2 mistakes. First, you should have built your army in Ankara and moved it into Sevastopol. That is a shorter route. Second, you should have retreated Livonia to Moscow and Moscow to Ukraine. There's no reason to go into the no-mans land when forcing a stalemate or your units will get blown up, which is what DJ did to win the game.

Spencer don't attack Austria the first move as Italy. If Austria is halfway decent, and you don't know of the very first move who Austria is, he will make your life hell or feed turkey or both. Either ally Austria or attack on a later turn when it looks favorable.
21 Jul 17 UTC DJ you may have won but you didn't get a SINGLE one of my towns, and you NEVER will. Italy remains free to this day - making pizzas, pastas, and Mario memorabilia for ETERNITY

Blake, whoopsie!

Jokes aside I was shocked to see England get 18 points here, I was sure if we didn't let him get Tunis it would end in a draw, so I was happy to toad around a little in insolence ... never again
21 Jul 17 UTC If you look at my map, Moscow is a viable 18th center for England.

The trick is that paul needed an army in Warsaw, Moscow, gallcia, Ukraine and Sevastopol (see my other map showing the stalemate line)
But Paul's army in Livonia was indefensible and got blown up. Plus he was one turn delayed getting his army to the line.

FYI I grabbed Budapest to prevent you from cutting me out of the draw at the last second, if it came to that.
