12 Jun 17 UTC Spring, 1912: Nope ;-)
12 Jun 17 UTC Spring, 1912: yeah pretty much^
12 Jun 17 UTC Spring, 1912: Great, 2 more years.
12 Jun 17 UTC Autumn, 1912: Well, bugger.
19 Jun 17 UTC Autumn, 1913: :(

Good game guys. Fun while it lasted.
19 Jun 17 UTC Autumn, 1913: Well actually I shouldn't be saying that because Germany definitely has a route to a solo.
19 Jun 17 UTC Autumn, 1913: Austria where you at?
19 Jun 17 UTC Autumn, 1913: This is a pretty good example of why win-only games are not an effective solution to early draws.
19 Jun 17 UTC Autumn, 1913: It's not my fault you're a quitter.
19 Jun 17 UTC Autumn, 1913: I didn't say it was your fault, I said there is a problem with the concept. We see this being the case in some tournaments as well when dragged out past any interest level.
19 Jun 17 UTC Autumn, 1913: agreed^
19 Jun 17 UTC Autumn, 1913: Yeah, but Turkey, I'm saying it is your fault. Why can't you be bothered? Austria was ripe for the stabbing at various times. Are you only interested in games you can draw by 1910?
19 Jun 17 UTC Autumn, 1913: I'm not interested in cutting draws from 5 to 3. Getting an extra 6 webdip points doesn't excite me. If the pot was 1000+ or there is tourney - yeah I'll engage in draw thinning. When the game has reached its end I'd just prefer to end it then sit around pointlessly waiting for misorders/NMRs to change the game. There is no skill or challenge in that, which is why it puts me to sleep. It's the same reason the mods force draw games instead of letting the 17 SC player just pound continuously until someone misorders or is busy. Unfortunately we find ourselves in this exact scenario.
19 Jun 17 UTC Autumn, 1913: The last decent year in this game was 1907. I've barely got a message since then, 6 years of gunboat with nothing happening, we've surpassed the draw requirement 3 times over.
19 Jun 17 UTC Autumn, 1913: You should try to win, not try to thin the draw.
19 Jun 17 UTC Autumn, 1913: It wouldn't be hard for him to win. He put himself in position to do it, and Austria is doing a fantastic job at letting him keep his position. Turkey, if you're not going for a win, let me have your spot.
20 Jun 17 UTC Autumn, 1913: Do you numbskulls realize that it takes 18 to win?
20 Jun 17 UTC Autumn, 1913: All of Austrias centers doesn't mean crap, it's still a loss and that would be making a ridiculous assumption that I could actually hold what I have now while taking it and lose nothing to F/G. So yes it is thinning the draw when you ask me over and over to stab Austria.
20 Jun 17 UTC Spring, 1914: Actually France and I are having a good time playing by our agreed upon rules, and we have been talking...sorry if you feel left out, Turkey.
20 Jun 17 UTC Spring, 1914: Russia you are welcome to have my spot, not sure how to go about it, Germany can make the swap.
20 Jun 17 UTC Spring, 1914: Lol, I can make the swap too, but that's ridiculously against the rules. Thanks anyway. Feel free to waste your position if that's what you want to do.
21 Jun 17 UTC Spring, 1914: Turkey, have you ever won as Turkey? I have.
21 Jun 17 UTC Spring, 1914: Yes, I have more solos than you for a reason.
21 Jun 17 UTC Spring, 1914: Yeah, who needs anonymity anyway?
21 Jun 17 UTC Spring, 1914: Is this not an anonymous game? If the blinding has been removed, then please post everybodys identity and the reason you would know such info.
21 Jun 17 UTC Spring, 1914: How would I know? I've seen his version of quality press and attempts at sound tactics. I don't need non anon to know.
21 Jun 17 UTC Spring, 1914: I'm Zultar.
22 Jun 17 UTC Spring, 1914: I'd bet a fair sum on France's identity.
22 Jun 17 UTC Spring, 1914: How many pizzas do you wager?
22 Jun 17 UTC Spring, 1914: I'm not sending a pizza all the way to England.
22 Jun 17 UTC Spring, 1914: They have pizza takeaway places in whichever particular country this happens to be, you could just phone one.
23 Jun 17 UTC Spring, 1914: If you pay me per mile like they do in stores in the United States, I'll deliver pizzas to England.
23 Jun 17 UTC Spring, 1914: Nah, I've been to London, their pizza tastes horrible. I wouldn't make my worst enemy have some.
23 Jun 17 UTC Spring, 1914: No guesses on who I am?!
23 Jun 17 UTC Autumn, 1914: You're mistaken if you think I'm in London.
23 Jun 17 UTC Autumn, 1914: Man, look how bad you guys are at your tactics. It's pretty disappointing that folks playing many multiple years here haven't figured this out by now.
23 Jun 17 UTC Autumn, 1914: You're in the U.K., I know that.
26 Jun 17 UTC Spring, 1915: Interesting build choices Austria.
26 Jun 17 UTC Spring, 1915: oops
29 Jun 17 UTC France & I have conferred and are content to draw now that we have established what is close to a stalemate line - yes it could fluctuate one more time, but not to any consequence. Thanks all for sticking with the experiment.
29 Jun 17 UTC What a waste of time.
29 Jun 17 UTC We played 9 unnecessary years where nothing happened. It's a miracle I didn't CD again.
29 Jun 17 UTC I had lots of fun. It's not like it takes up much of your time.
29 Jun 17 UTC I had lots of fun, for 7 years.

I am disappointed in both you and Germany's play. Especially you.
29 Jun 17 UTC Why?
30 Jun 17 UTC You didn't do anything to shake up the game, nor were you willing to discuss it.
30 Jun 17 UTC I definitely thought Germany was Bo sox
30 Jun 17 UTC I would have drawn 9 years ago.
30 Jun 17 UTC Knew France was Jamie.

Gg all. Thanks to Turkey and Austria for letting me live as long as I did.
30 Jun 17 UTC Good game y'all.

GenLee, sorry you did not have as much fun as I did - but I enjoyed having a set of parameters pre-agreed upon to play the game.
Nice job between you and Biojay to hold such a mutually intertwined alliance together so long. I was really expecting a backstab there at some point, but y'all built as strategically as could be done and held it together beautifully.
Moscow -it sucks to be the italian pawn, but you played it as well as could be done. Please know I only wanted you removed to create imbalance between Austria and Turkey if possible... That or I really do value having 2 more WebDip Points ... geesh.
Jamie, good to work with you. Rare is the game France and Germany keep alignment long-term.
Bosox, yea, my initial press was pure dick. I had to try to see what that approach would do. I was surprised you did not bounce me out of Sweden.

I was impressed that the early game dynamic seemed to very strongly favor mid- game natural alliances with this set of agreements in place, as it was clear there was going to be no easy draws.

Thoughts?
