17 Jan 17 UTC Autumn, 1904: I was merely manipulated by the silver tongued Italians, the loyal Turks and the dastardly French into my actions.

It's everyone's fault but mine!

28 Jan 17 UTC Autumn, 1907: Well honestly that was expected and was probably the best idea for both countries. Well played chaps
28 Jan 17 UTC Autumn, 1907: England can you just let turkey take StP
we're both dead
28 Jan 17 UTC Autumn, 1907: Already the plan my friend. See you in the afterlife.
29 Jan 17 UTC Autumn, 1907: o7
31 Jan 17 UTC Spring, 1908: France, you are a perfidious fiend.

For anyone curious, the Frog demanded Tunis without my resistance because he thinks it is his due. When I protested, *he* accused *me* of treachery. Because I recognize the value of balance when going for a 3WD, I offered to give him Tun if he didn't build a fleet in Mar and move it against me. An agreement which he clearly has broken.

The most ironic thing is, if he had come and asked to be given Tun in order to keep the balance, I would have acquiesced. It's a shame he tried to stage a fait a compli instead.
31 Jan 17 UTC Spring, 1908: so are you saying that you're going to punish me by getting a solo?
31 Jan 17 UTC Spring, 1908: I'm far from managing the solo and you know it.

At a glance, I would have to take RUM, ANK, SMYR, and SEV from Turkey and then turn around and take MAR and SPA from you. By the time I get anywhere close to that, you will have finished off England and Germany will have dispatched with Turkey, leading to a stable trio where none of us is powerful enough to take on the other two.

From my point of view, you're clearly setting yourself up for a solo bid. LVP and TUN would bring you to 10 centers in a year that Germany will only manage one build. By moving into the Med in force, you've made it clear you're gunning for my home centers while my fleet is dispatched in the east, which would put you at 13 and me on the back foot. Germany is similarly disposed in the east and would be open to a well-crafted surprise attack, especially if you conned him into drawing more of his forces towards me.
31 Jan 17 UTC Spring, 1908: P e r f i d i o u s

I'm glad Turkey is getting his just dues, just as I have.
31 Jan 17 UTC Spring, 1908: He was just a bad player, I think. And a really untrustworthy one. Even when we were nominally allied he was shifty as fuck, and then he stabbed me.

I wouldn't even be mad if that helped him, but he just threw the game, so...
31 Jan 17 UTC Spring, 1908: so the guy with 11+2 centers claims that the guy with 8+2 centers is the real threat? italy, you are a fanciful chap indeed!
31 Jan 17 UTC Spring, 1908: I think England is the real threat. The Beatles are coming out of Liverpool in around 55 years and everyone loves The Beatles.
31 Jan 17 UTC Spring, 1908: You know it!! Good Game guys I messed this one up haha
31 Jan 17 UTC Spring, 1908: An England/Germany/Russia team could have gone the distance. I was surprised when Russia stabbed you, England.
31 Jan 17 UTC Spring, 1908: Me too - big turning point for the game for me.

Hey ho! That's how it goes.
31 Jan 17 UTC Spring, 1908: C'est la vie
01 Feb 17 UTC Spring, 1908: durp
04 Feb 17 UTC Spring, 1910: Folks - in the interest of speeding this along, I realize that I've cracked Italy's stalemate line and might be able to solo here, but I'm leaving for Europe tomorrow and would just like to get this to a 3-way draw so that I can pay minimal attention to it while I'm out. Let's clean up Turkey and then chop this (assuming France and Italy are willing, which I assume they are).
05 Feb 17 UTC Autumn, 1910: We are still in agreement to a three way draw?
05 Feb 17 UTC Autumn, 1910: I am.
05 Feb 17 UTC Autumn, 1910: Me too.
05 Feb 17 UTC Autumn, 1910: Well-played to the end there, Turkey.
05 Feb 17 UTC My vote is in. Helluva game turkey!
05 Feb 17 UTC Thanks folks. Great game France - taking over an NME who was being targeted by two countries and managing a share of a 3-way draw is pretty damn good.

Apologies for not playing this one out but I work way too much and have been excited for this vacation for way too long.
05 Feb 17 UTC always give CAPT Brad hell -- even when he's anonymous!
05 Feb 17 UTC Well played France and Germany.

I was convinced you guys were going to try to go for the twofer.

Germany, when you told me to look at the stalemate lines was that a ploy to get me to let my guard down? Because I didn't control any at the time and you pushed me farther from them in the meanwhile.
05 Feb 17 UTC both of y'all played a great game. Thanks for letting me come back from the brink, Germany. Russia got big just in time to save my ass.
05 Feb 17 UTC Also, I've never been in a twofer. It always seems to end up a solo and a sucker.
05 Feb 17 UTC And no one sucks like hauta
05 Feb 17 UTC Wasn't a ploy, Italy. I'm leaving for O'Hare in around 75 minutes and am glad this got wrapped up before then (I'll just have one gunboat game to pay attention to while I'm there).

I will chime in and add that I'm the one who convinced Russia to stab England though. Seemed like England was trying to set things up so that he'd be choosing between Russia and me. Figured I'd get ahead of that.
05 Feb 17 UTC So I had the "one ally I'll never stab" as Brad. I was doomed from the start.
05 Feb 17 UTC At least I played for free
05 Feb 17 UTC You were quite right there Germany. I was trying to choose and got smacked down. Well played
