15 Oct 16 UTC About time Valis, I gave you like 20 tries at it
15 Oct 16 UTC I didn't want to stab my friend unless I absolutely had to :)
Sorry I couldn't make it quicker
15 Oct 16 UTC bosox you asshole!
15 Oct 16 UTC Did I do something wrong?
15 Oct 16 UTC ahh wouldve preferred france not survive but gg
15 Oct 16 UTC Lol Germany you have a lot to learn about this game
15 Oct 16 UTC ahh wouldve preferred france not survive but gg
15 Oct 16 UTC i thought there isn't supposed to be collusion you drunk bastard! and F your sox lousy team
15 Oct 16 UTC well played ... I'm just a little bit angry, that the one opportunity I gave ended in my great demise. But I totally understand it. Thanks for the game. Austria is hard without talking :)
15 Oct 16 UTC yea Im fairly new
15 Oct 16 UTC gg all.
15 Oct 16 UTC Oh, yeah, the Red Sox sucked. I was sad.
15 Oct 16 UTC like vallis need another win
15 Oct 16 UTC AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
15 Oct 16 UTC He wouldn't have had one if he didn't have 26 SCs in Scandinavia by the end of 1903. Yall should attack Russia next time. That's your job.
15 Oct 16 UTC You must attack Russia too.
15 Oct 16 UTC I did :)
15 Oct 16 UTC yeah bosox you just ran around down there. i was the only one fighting germany and russia. i even tried to keep england around but they just went off to la la land
15 Oct 16 UTC You were fighting Russia
15 Oct 16 UTC ?
15 Oct 16 UTC oh come on it took a while to get up to the north sea holding off germany and then england just went off the rails. and no pressure on germany i could only take him on in the british isles
15 Oct 16 UTC Yeah, I know, but you're France. You can't really affect whether or not England and Germany fight Russia in gunboat unless you go south, which would have been a great move for you in this game, but you did fine in the north too.
15 Oct 16 UTC well thanks for the buck up bo, its hard to stay mad when you sweet talk me like that. i didn't want to hurt italy in hopes they would keep up the fight to the north
15 Oct 16 UTC how should I have played differently?
15 Oct 16 UTC but you and italy were dukeing it out instead
15 Oct 16 UTC who germany? you did fine, you had and ally to keep me at bay in the end as i worked around you. just as i would have breached your defenses in comes russia. the sad part is that you just let him roll on you in denmark and holland and take the win
15 Oct 16 UTC h4zlf, there's a lot of ways to answer that question. I think at the most basic level you should internalize that someone getting 18 MUST be stopped, even if they've been friendly to you. So really any improvements in your play would be broken into two camps
1) Generally doing better in the beginning/mid game; this is very broad and subject to uncertainty
2) Stopping the solo; which is a little more objective. If you had built A BER and gone BER-PRU and MUN-SIL and not given me NTH but kept a fleet in LON/NTH/DEN I would have just drawn, or at least been pressured to.

You're new so don't beat yourself up or anything.

Also please be sure not to NMR or CD, the site tracks those and players can choose not to play with you based on those statistics. I hope you had a lot of fun!
15 Oct 16 UTC Generally, Germany you hurt England without without gaining anything. You also preoccupied your armies on the line with France, which is only half your fault, but that did not allow you to move eastward. You would have grown more and probably been a player in the fight against France if you had gained in Russia early on instead of helping him take Scandinavia. That fight went far, far too quickly and it gave Russia the upper hand from 1904 onwards.

As far as your endgame, you needed to attack Russia. In 1910/11, he was a very, very clear solo threat. You continued hurting France, who could have helped stop him. Had you moved east on him, you would have forced at least a few of his units back in defense. It would have either given me an opening to push him backwards and force a 5-way draw or, if he chose not to defend against you, it would have given you space to attack him. By acting so friendly toward him, you enabled him to go full-force, build a bunch of fleets in the north that actually outnumbered your own, and leave his central home centers open for much of the game without worrying about them.
15 Oct 16 UTC Also @Germany in S06 you tried support holding Belgium but ordered Belgium to the English Channel. Support holds to a moving unit are voided. Just in case you weren't aware, but I think it was just a mental slip.
15 Oct 16 UTC And what Valis said ^^
15 Oct 16 UTC thanks guys! Yea I haven't been in a game long enough to have someone hit 18 yet so didn't know but I'll keep that in mind
15 Oct 16 UTC No worries, it's a game. Glad you played and I'm glad to see a reliable player that sticks it out to the end.
15 Oct 16 UTC i mean you could have sent one unit east and that would have been enough
15 Oct 16 UTC Italy getting into Warsaw is always hilarious. It was a creative move that actually worked in his favor. Probably the first time I have seen it work without support from another country.
15 Oct 16 UTC but, we learn best from failure than any other way so no hard feelings it was a long game.
and sox i should have sent that marseilles fleet east after all
15 Oct 16 UTC Yeah, it was weird to see it sitting there for a year or two. You would have ended up gaining Tunis with my support if you had come south with it.
15 Oct 16 UTC well, I as Austria more or less helped a bit, but yeah, Italy into warsaw was great.
15 Oct 16 UTC you can still see the green streak in east germany
