23 Sep 16 UTC I thought this was a decent game. This whole series was dogged with cancels and draws. I'm still not certain why so I look forward to hearing from others. I realized that I'd be stalemated against Austria in perpetuity unless France looked at assaulting towards Scandinavia.
23 Sep 16 UTC Turkey went MIA in two games pretty simultaneously early on, and was in and out through the whole game, so I'm assuming something happened with Ishmael. I went from a decent start to being attacked from all sides, so I was happy enough that the rise of a F/G meant the end of southern hostilities.

Interesting that we seem to have found the two highest-ranked players and knocked them out.
23 Sep 16 UTC I considered assaulting toward Scandinavia, but realized it would be futile with only one fleet, and with a feud beginning to bloom with Italy, I could not afford another fleet up north. I also thought about an assault on Belgium about 3 yrs previous, but I also thought that would put me on a war footing on two fronts and that would be a disaster with only 3 armies in Europe. My hope was that either Turkey or Austria would occupy, or attack Italy enough for me to begin an all out war with Germany once he started inching toward 18.
23 Sep 16 UTC I kept thinking your attack was imminent which informed my decision to get that fleet into the North Sea this coming turn.
