Game drawn
29 Sep 16 UTC Good game, guys. Sorry about being the holdout for a while, but I really am not a fan of six-way draws. :)
29 Sep 16 UTC Why did this game draw with the Italian? Sorry Gary , but there was no reason not to finish him off. Otherwise why did the French take nothing?
29 Sep 16 UTC Anything -nothing. Whatever
29 Sep 16 UTC I put my draw up early, because I don't like taking advance of nmr/cd's.
29 Sep 16 UTC You'll have to ask France about that. I put my draw vote up since A/T were gone, and I had advanced as far as I was going to.
29 Sep 16 UTC I wasn't certain how much longer I could have held Germany's trust. Like he said, having gone as far as he could go, it placed that relationship in some turmoil. I did consider making on Holland and London around the same time as I struck Italy.
29 Sep 16 UTC No apology necessary ssorenn; I was a bit confused about how this played out as well. After France supported his fleets in Tyr and Ionian, I thought maybe the holdout was because Austria and Turkey were still in with 1. I figured I might as well take them since you had your draw vote up as I figured you were in the best position right up till the last two turns. I just was leery about France attacking me before I went after Turkey and Austria, letting you come in and mop up all 3 of us.
29 Sep 16 UTC Russia had some good numbers, but Germany was fairly able to counter the northern movement. I assumed that if Germany wasn't going to press DRAW, and Russia took theirs down, that I'd try to take this forward as long as I could. Once I saw all three DRAWS up, I thought the game was up. I would have tried to keep Greece Italian as long as I could but that wouldn't have worked if I was skeletonizing Venice and possibly Trieste. Had I struck Germany, I envisioned a total collapse toward France to the benefit of Russia. I know Ssorenn loves the vaunted 17-17 draw, but I didn't think it was possible.
30 Sep 16 UTC The plan was to throw up my draw flag if you hit me, because nobody likes being in the middle of France and Russia.

Given that I came out of these three games (with my three least favorite countries) sharing in three draws, I'm pretty happy.
