Autumn, 1903: Dammit. I left my friends house and got caught on a hill in the snow. Some dipstick decided to stop in the middle of the hill and let it freeze over. So I was sitting in my car trying ever so hard to connect to a random persons wireless.......
Autumn, 1905: I am a new England. Hold nothing said by him accountable to me, pending review.
Autumn, 1911: Italy/Austria - you may as well vote Draw now. My fleet in Portugal will Support Hold the English in MAO permanently. Without MAO you cant take Portugal and you cannot defeat England. Even if you take Paris/Brest and all Scandanavia the British has enough fleets to defend MAO with my help and neither of you can build fleets in the North - therefore stalemate - So you may as well vote DRAW now and avoid wasting a lot of time...
Autumn, 1911: The only other scenario is Austria stabbing Italy and claiming solo win.... but it's up to you guys...
Autumn, 1911: Well, I certainly don't mind wasting your time for awhile. As you said, one of us can still get a win. And since even if that happens, the other one of us will still get about as many points as we'd get for agreeing to a 4-way draw, it seems like it's worth pursuing that path, at least for a while. Now, if England wants to turn it into a 3-way draw instead, that changes the math. England is the one who has the most to lose by making it a 4-way draw instead of a 3-way draw. So I guess it's up to England how much of everybody's time we waste.
Autumn, 1911: I second Austria's statement
Autumn, 1911: It's not as though this game is very time consuming, and I don't care about points, so I'm going to keep France alive.
Autumn, 1911: And I will keep England alive too :-)
Autumn, 1911: And by the way unless Italy lets England take Spain then I cannot die... If England attacks Portugal then all 'holds' on MAO are broken and Italy breaks out of the Med - which would pretty much be game over for him. He only has your word that you guys will settle for a three way draw once I am dead and as far as I am aware have already stabbed him once...
Autumn, 1912: Just hurry up and win already. I'm NOT going to change my mind.
So Austria giving Italy the win?
Hello England, I gotta say I am finding the behaviour of Italy/Austria in this game very suspicious and am looking forward to the end when I can investigate their playing history. Why in god's name would the Austrian let the Italian (a supposed ally) take his home SC - preventing him from anymore building? It is completely nonsensical and counter intuitive. The fact that the Italian was determined to attack me from the start despite clear evidence that I wasn't going to make it easy is another sign that he had some kind of 'hold' of ther Austrian. So I reckon the 'Austrian' is a Italian multi account. Because I stalled the Italian for so long the Austrian had a clear growth advantage - yet now for some reason he has decided to let the Italian win? It does not make sense. They have been clever to make sure their cheating is not obvious however as they can't beat us if we stick together I am more than happy to wait and do some post game digging into both accounts. The Mods know that I have a good track record of sniffing out cheating activity... We shall see... |
