Private The King is Dead in Modern Europe!
2 days /phase
Pot: 55 D - Autumn, 2001, Finished
1 excused missed turn
Game drawn
12 Sep 16 UTC Autumn, 1999: If I were a traitor I would have attacked the King ages ago.
12 Sep 16 UTC Autumn, 1999: or you realised that you had no choice of ally as england was advancing on you and you were going to lose against turkey anyway
14 Sep 16 UTC Autumn, 1999: Well.
14 Sep 16 UTC Autumn, 1999: I'm just going to go ahead and say I shouldn't be playing Diplomacy any more as I obviously don't have the schedule that permits me to check these games enough. Sigh.
14 Sep 16 UTC Autumn, 1999: you were online at a time where you should have been able to enter your moves
14 Sep 16 UTC Autumn, 1999: I was working on some Mafia stuff. This is the only diplomacy game I've played in months, easy to forgot about
14 Sep 16 UTC Autumn, 1999: So Italy - what role were you?
14 Sep 16 UTC Autumn, 1999: Rebel
15 Sep 16 UTC Autumn, 1999: So one of each down - so please remind me if I am incorrect, there now remains:

The King
One Traitor
Two Loyalists
Three Rebels

Is that correct?
16 Sep 16 UTC Autumn, 1999: Sorry guys.
20 Sep 16 UTC Spring, 2000: Can we cancel there's been way too many NMRs
20 Sep 16 UTC Spring, 2000: no
20 Sep 16 UTC Spring, 2000: Its not ranked you lose nothing
20 Sep 16 UTC Spring, 2000: Its exceedingly disappointing to see both the fact of the NMRs and the apparent complete lack of remorse.

If you commit to playing a game - fucking well do it.
20 Sep 16 UTC Spring, 2000: Looks like we're gonna have another round of NMR from Turkey. He hasn't been on the site in 6 days... I wonder if something has happened?
20 Sep 16 UTC Spring, 2000: Well, with that CD, maybe it's time to draw regardless? It's unranked, so no damage to anyone.
20 Sep 16 UTC Spring, 2000: Nah i want to win you can quit if you want
20 Sep 16 UTC Spring, 2000: You understand that it's an SRG, right? The king is gone, apparently, which means you've won so long as the traitor dies.
20 Sep 16 UTC Spring, 2000: Like, no one will ever get the "win" on their record because it's an SRG.
20 Sep 16 UTC Spring, 2000: I'm fine with quitting. It's pretty clear that E/F are going to win. So unless one of them is actually a traitor and wants a big moment when they solo, then it's just playing out an inevitability.
20 Sep 16 UTC Spring, 2000: They're not, since I'm the traitor. :p
20 Sep 16 UTC Spring, 2000: did turkey know?
20 Sep 16 UTC Spring, 2000: i figured it out when you didn't attack turkey like 3 autumns in and when germany told me who the traitors were
20 Sep 16 UTC Spring, 2000: I honestly thought my best chance to win was to help the king. The rebels got too far ahead
21 Sep 16 UTC Autumn, 2000: Yeah it was pretty clear you were a traitor Chaqa. To me at least. And Turkey and I both discussed that you most likely were. But we agreed that it was best to trust you since it was in both of our interests to work together.
21 Sep 16 UTC Autumn, 2000: so can we just end this game now
21 Sep 16 UTC Autumn, 2000: I put my votes up. I'm fine with whatever.
24 Sep 16 UTC Autumn, 2000: The King is in Civil Disorder in Modern Europe!
25 Sep 16 UTC Spring, 2001: The King has abdicated - does that fulfil the Rebel Victory criteria?
25 Sep 16 UTC Spring, 2001: Whatever. We conceded ages ago. Consider it a win for you.
25 Sep 16 UTC Spring, 2001: I've also concede. We're just waiting for these guys to end the game.
26 Sep 16 UTC Spring, 2001: Draw ordered, please join in France and Poland.
26 Sep 16 UTC Spring, 2001: If Ishamael doesn't return I'll Just kill Gdansk
28 Sep 16 UTC Can we all lock in turns ASAP so we can shut this down? Thanks.
29 Sep 16 UTC Yawn. I've justbeen entering holds, what's taking so long?
29 Sep 16 UTC Poland
29 Sep 16 UTC France an Poland enter your Draw votes for fucks sake
29 Sep 16 UTC France is waiting for Poland to die, despite the Unranked-ness of the game it seems.
29 Sep 16 UTC I hope he's not that silly
30 Sep 16 UTC No i just wanted to see this retreat phase
30 Sep 16 UTC So was Russia the other Knight? If so, I really want him to explain the move to Volga on the first move.
30 Sep 16 UTC I spinned some major anti-Ukraine press in the first phase or two, I think I got everyone spooked.
30 Sep 16 UTC Your opening press to me was the strangest opening press I've ever received Chaqa.
30 Sep 16 UTC Poland did an excellent job of playing the knight and keeping us unorganized. I'd say MVP of the traitors goes to him.

Anyone who has played this format before, how did it end then? I feel it's heavily slanted in favor of those not allied with the king. Or maybe that's just because in this game we never had a solidified movement from the king.
30 Sep 16 UTC Poland was a Rebel not a Traitor - the 2 Traitors were Germany and Egypt.
30 Sep 16 UTC Did anyone believe I was loyal at the beginning? Just curious...
30 Sep 16 UTC Sorry... I keep mixing the two up.

And I wasn't sure about you at first Britain. You weren't attacking France who was an openly declared rebel, but you weren't attacking Spain, who I was pretty sure was loyal to the king or at least a traitor.
30 Sep 16 UTC I want to know if Turkey suspected I wasn't actually a knight.

In truth, I originally intended to join England and France's attacks on the knights, but then the knights collapsed so much...
30 Sep 16 UTC I know by at least 1998 we knew you weren't with us, but were at least not against us. That's the first message I can still see where we discussed you.
30 Sep 16 UTC did everyone assume that i wasn't lying about being a traitor as i was going to post that no matter what my role was and see if i could route out the rebels if i was a night.
