25 Apr 16 UTC Autumn, 1901: shit toally missed my move I'm sorry guys
28 Apr 16 UTC Autumn, 1902: Well, Russia has managed to attack three of us by the end of 1902 and is sitting on 8 supply centres. I'd say this concerns us all. If I fall then he's well on the way to a solo.
29 Apr 16 UTC Spring, 1903: Austria trying to sell everyone some bad product ~ some old schtick, good old envy. Good luck if you place your bets with Austria - he is the main Solo threat here. What, two Units already on Italian soil ?
If you review my Orders, you'll see that the RUM - BUD was clearly a mis-order. Review the BLA, SEV orders if you don't believe me.
Don't buy the snake oil that Austria is peddling around the place - please believe me on this.
29 Apr 16 UTC Spring, 1903: It's a shame you feel that way. I've offered to agree the wording of a comment on this board twice without response. So I'll do it unilaterally. In Russia's defence he has kept to agreements about what and where to build made after the attack on Budapest.

Unfortunately he has now chosen to take offence at my attempts to arrange a defence should he try to press the advantage he has gained through that attack on me.

In terms of armies on Italian soil you will also note that the first attack came from Italy on Trieste. My enemies have chosen themselves by attacking me. If you look at my past games you will see a number of draws where I could have pressed for a win. I try my best to deal with other players honestly and will continue to do so in this game.
04 May 16 UTC Autumn, 1905: Donald J Trump, really ?
(Ps: I am not a citizen of, nor resident in, the USA)
04 May 16 UTC Autumn, 1905: so it seems. for better or worse
05 May 16 UTC Autumn, 1906: Moderator: (bo_sox48): This game has been paused as part of a moderator inquiry made by a player. Please do not vote to unpause, draw, or cancel or I may dock points from your account. Please hold your questions; I'll provide an update when I can. Thanks for your cooperation.
06 May 16 UTC Autumn, 1906: new France here. Will do as the Mod has said. I am open to alliances.
06 May 16 UTC Autumn, 1906: Same here for new England
06 May 16 UTC Autumn, 1906: Moderator: (bo_sox48): The reason that I paused this game is because England and France each requested they be removed from the game because anonymity was broken at some point and it turned out that they know each other. We have investigated the game fully and we do not believe that any cheating occurred, but for precaution's sake, I removed each of them. I'll advertise the openings on the forum so that you all don't have to worry about it and I'll unpause the game and reset the phase to 24 hours once the positions are filled.
06 May 16 UTC Autumn, 1906: Ok, thank you.
06 May 16 UTC Autumn, 1906: Moderator: (bo_sox48): As it turns out, I don't even have to advertise the game. Thanks for taking the positions. The game is unpaused and reset so that you have a full 24 hours.
06 May 16 UTC Autumn, 1906: Thank you again mod.
06 May 16 UTC Autumn, 1906: Thanks Mods and all other Players, also thanks to new England and France players. We can see that France England were progressing a good alliance and there is every reason for this to continue. Germany - when are you switching sides ? ;-). Enjoy everyone
06 May 16 UTC Autumn, 1906: Welcome to the game.
12 May 16 UTC Spring, 1908: Wow. All of us stabbing.
12 May 16 UTC Spring, 1908: And Russia wins :)
12 May 16 UTC Spring, 1908: Do I hear an echo of the call that went out in 1902 ?
I am despised by one Power, tolerated by the rest. I have no Allies, this is not a basis for winning.
13 May 16 UTC Spring, 1909: Russia and Austria draw.
13 May 16 UTC Spring, 1909: It would be a shame to draw this at the moment. I'm not in a strong position but it has been a really good game and I'd like to see some kind of conclusion.
14 May 16 UTC Autumn, 1909: well... not a good round for me. good game all... the end will come soon for me
15 May 16 UTC Autumn, 1909: Well, it looks like we are all relocating our countries and the border gore is real.
15 May 16 UTC Spring, 1910: Whatever the outcome might be, I must say we have a nice patchwork here, quite fun ! :)
16 May 16 UTC Autumn, 1910: So many stabs, I see why all of you wanted to continue.
17 May 16 UTC Spring, 1911: Probably the most enjoyable game I've played. Whatever the outcome it's been full of twists and turns.
17 May 16 UTC Spring, 1911: I normally only play DSS, so I'm thinking, "is this the norm for SOS? "
22 May 16 UTC The Tsar has unilaterally declared a cessation of hostilities towards Austria in the south. Regards, Russia.
23 May 16 UTC Good playing with you all!
23 May 16 UTC Well it was a bit messy, but still GG !
23 May 16 UTC Thanks for Games all - my EOG will follow later
23 May 16 UTC Thanks for the game, shame it had to come to an end.
24 May 16 UTC EOG Russia,
Russia got lucky in Spring-1901 and I was able to occupy BLA unchallenged. For most of the rest of the Game I was determined to stand on that BLA occupation for as long as I could, and to attempt to continue to deny Turkey the 4th SC since allowing Turkey a build would just invite a challenge on BLA.
With the South going well and also a growing sense of cooperation forming with Austria in 1901 – I decided to expand aggressively in the North and immediately broke some assurances I’d given to England when I build F STP(NC) at the end of 1901 !
Soon after everything started so well – I have two major setbacks. (1) I had the fateful Autumn-1902 debacle where I accidentally and incorrectly moved to BUD. At the time it nearly broke the Austria – Russia cooperation that had been so carefully built. At the time I encouraged Italy to retreat to TYR and we could’ve launched a joint attack against Austria. Italy didn’t take that option – and exited the Game soon after, because he had no Ally or helper against the Austrian attack.
(2) Germany for some reason in 1903 seemed to abandon his enthusiasm for the Sealion attack against England, and switched sides against Russia.
From that time on I was under pressure against the G-E. I attempted many times to turn Germany Diplomatically and I ended up pissing him off. The FEG alliance beat Austria and myself right back. I took the view that I would quickly retreat from Scandinavia, where I couldn’t fight, and fight into Germany – where I could win. At multiple times throughout the Game I took this policy always – to retreat quickly where you think you’re on the defensive, and prioritise movement into areas where gains can be made.
The major change in this game came with the poorly executed French stab on England. This changed the whole dynamic and enabled the R-A alliance to fight right back and quickly reduce Germany.
With the F-E tensions dragging on – I resolved to come back to BLA and push harder in the South. These tensions eventually exploded into one year of War with Austria in the South. And it was a good war for Russia.
I came out of it with 13 SC’s and resolved to go for a Solo in the North, however I rather hatcheted the approach with England, who I found hard to Diplome with throughout the whole Game. Once I realised that I’d unified E-F again in the North, I decided to sue for the Draw since in my view not much gains would be able to happen for Russia beyond that., or any gains in the South would be balanced by losses in North.
Turkey neglected multiple Diplomacy opportunities to engage with both Russia and/or Austria – seemed to be a major oversight on his part, disappointing.
24 May 16 UTC I was stuck between to alliances. In 1903 you were the strongest. I had a chance to knock it down. I did. In the end I stabbed too many people and got wrecked. Such is the game
24 May 16 UTC Well, I started late.
