25 Jan 16 UTC Spring, 1901: Hello everyone, Good luck
27 Jan 16 UTC Autumn, 1901: Sorry everyone, I forgot which day this game started, I'm still playing :)
31 Jan 16 UTC Autumn, 1901: I hope Turkey is still playing as well.
01 Feb 16 UTC Spring, 1902: I'm still playing too. Somehow the combination of slow internet and time pressure, led to me only entering my moves but not saving them.
18 Feb 16 UTC Autumn, 1904: Hi! I didnt realize how long this game was going to last and im getting married on saturday and i was wondering if we could pause until i get home from my honeymoon in a week?
18 Feb 16 UTC Autumn, 1904: I'm fine with that
18 Feb 16 UTC Autumn, 1904: A pause isn't an issue at all.
19 Feb 16 UTC Autumn, 1904: I'm fine with a pause. Best of luck!
19 Feb 16 UTC Autumn, 1904: Thank you guys!
28 Feb 16 UTC Autumn, 1904: France, are you back? :) I have to leave to my own honeymoon in a couple of months ;)
29 Feb 16 UTC Autumn, 1904: Just got home this morning! Lets do it
07 Mar 16 UTC Autumn, 1905: Bye everyone, it was fun playing with you.
07 Mar 16 UTC Spring, 1906: Thank you, Turkey. Good game.
16 Mar 16 UTC Spring, 1907: Gg italy and austria, wish i hadnt missed the first turn :(
21 Mar 16 UTC Autumn, 1907: Hello everybody.

I am getting married this Wednesday and won't have time for Diplomacy. Can we pause until Friday, please?
21 Mar 16 UTC Autumn, 1907: Sure
27 Mar 16 UTC Autumn, 1907: Hello everybody. I am back and fine with unpause.
29 Mar 16 UTC Autumn, 1908: Austria is about to solo. Anyone wants to unite and give him a hard time to force a draw, or do we want to give him this solo?
29 Mar 16 UTC Autumn, 1908: England is just mad he's run out of people to stab.
29 Mar 16 UTC Autumn, 1908: Let's see.....death in a draw that would never include me, or a piece of a survive in someone else's win. I'll take the survive over the death.
29 Mar 16 UTC Autumn, 1908: Germany, this is Draw-Size scoring. If Austria wins, you get no points at all.
30 Mar 16 UTC Autumn, 1908: I have points.....I play for record. Losses are to be avoided.
30 Mar 16 UTC Autumn, 1908: Yeah. Even if you lose the game, it doesn't count as an actual "Loss". So there's always a reason to survive.
31 Mar 16 UTC Autumn, 1908: Yes, it does. When someone solos, everybody else are losing. You get 0 points and "survival" is a loss.
31 Mar 16 UTC Autumn, 1908: I suggest a 4-way draw once France is out. Germany, Austria, Italy - do you agree?
01 Apr 16 UTC Autumn, 1908: Honestly england, they are right if they dont care about points which it doesnt seem like they do. Also i am sure italy is well aware of austrias plans no matter what they are.
07 Apr 16 UTC Autumn, 1909: Gg austria
07 Apr 16 UTC Autumn, 1909: Indeed. Italy still believes it will be some sort of a draw.
08 Apr 16 UTC Autumn, 1909: Good game France
12 Apr 16 UTC Autumn, 1910: Good game, Austria.

Stupid Italy.
12 Apr 16 UTC Autumn, 1910: Wow you're a rather shortsighted player. Look at the board. There are several positions to still force a draw. You give up because a nation back stabbed you and assume Austria will win immediately. Look at the past few turns. Has Austria reached 18? No. They have not. So stop being a player that gives up and be more determined in the game. I'm not even saying this because I'm against Austria I'm saying this as a general rule. Fight to the last breath.
12 Apr 16 UTC Autumn, 1910: I am fighting - you are the one that have not done so. I have been in touch with you for the last past 5 years, warning EXACTLY about what just happened. You even seemed to do the right thing in Autumn 1908, but then decided it is a better idea to grab Spain instead of keeping Constantinople, Ankara and Smyrna.

Austria did not reach 18 yet - but he is past all possible stalemate lines, and we cannot stop his solo anymore, especially that Germany just wants to survive. We could, in 1908. We even had a chance of you convoyed Portugal to Brest, instead of moving to EC (what for???). Munich to Burgundy and we are done. The game will end at 1911, just like I predicted.

It is my fault that I could not convince you to go full power against Austria - and boy did I try, but now it is too late.

Here is some complementary reading for you: http://diplom.org/Online/StalematesAtoY/visual.htm
12 Apr 16 UTC Autumn, 1910: For all the whining, this one is over. Once Italy left the door open to Turkey it was done. The last dot will be Paris.....Ruhr has a straight shot and no one else can get there.
12 Apr 16 UTC Autumn, 1910: I agree.

There is still one chance - if Italy convoys to Gascony or Brest, and then tries to cover both Paris and Marseilles, sending MAO to Spain. This is the only way to try to force a draw. If Austria doesn't draw and Germany cooperates, we can put St.Pet under threat as well.

Austria is very light on fleets, too light, and can't do much about it - only send Con/Smyrna to the Med, but it also means we have time in the north.

The question is whether the three of us are willing to work together to make it happen.
12 Apr 16 UTC Spring, 1911: We just need Germany. Because I'm willing. The convoy was what I was going to do this turn anyway.
12 Apr 16 UTC Spring, 1911: Hey guys.... Whatcha doing...
13 Apr 16 UTC Spring, 1911: Totally not publicly plotting against our future ruler.
13 Apr 16 UTC Spring, 1911: Great, so lets do this. Germany, Italy - do you have the draw vote in?
13 Apr 16 UTC Spring, 1911: I've had a draw vote in since I became a wanderer. Not committing to doing anything, just answering your question.
13 Apr 16 UTC Spring, 1911: I have one in. Only Austria wouldn't.
14 Apr 16 UTC Good game, sportsnut109.
14 Apr 16 UTC gg
14 Apr 16 UTC Gratz Sports...a rare Austria win.
14 Apr 16 UTC Good game all around
14 Apr 16 UTC How did you manage to convince Italy to play with you for so long?
14 Apr 16 UTC I mean we worked together from the beginning and I trusted him to take Trieste in the opening moves and give it back.

Honestly I would have stuck it out if he hadn't made a couple of tactical blunders in Autmumn 1905 and Spring 1908
