01 Feb 16 UTC Autumn, 1904: GG
06 Feb 16 UTC Spring, 1906: Hello everyone, I am the new Italy, I am new to diplomacy as well as this particular game, so as of now all former alliances are off. Due to my current state, all proposals of friendship will be gladly accepted. Any attack one me will be considered an act of war, and if able, I will retaliate. If I am playing diplomacy wrong please tell me, or if you have any advice I will be most grateful.
06 Feb 16 UTC Spring, 1906: you joined a juggernaut alliance game
06 Feb 16 UTC Spring, 1906: What is that?
06 Feb 16 UTC Spring, 1906: when russia and turkey ally. it basicly means that there is no way for anyone but those two to win, and usually its russia who takes the final win.
06 Feb 16 UTC Spring, 1906: Looking at the map, and assuming they have some alliance or treaty, that seems true.
10 Feb 16 UTC Spring, 1907: Let's finish this.
10 Feb 16 UTC Spring, 1907: Indeed
10 Feb 16 UTC Spring, 1907: I seem to be surrounded
10 Feb 16 UTC Spring, 1907: I surrender!
10 Feb 16 UTC Spring, 1907: Poor Germany...
11 Feb 16 UTC Autumn, 1907: Let's just let this game play out. Please, let's not fight each other here at the end.
11 Feb 16 UTC Autumn, 1907: if turkey strikes russia now, france will win. if he waits till france is gone, then russia wins. if he chooses the right medium in between he could win. much the same if russia strikes turkey at the right time he will win. if france some how convinces the other two to fight he wins.
11 Feb 16 UTC Autumn, 1907: or we draw*
11 Feb 16 UTC Autumn, 1907: lame...
11 Feb 16 UTC Autumn, 1907: listen man if this game was a few turns shorter and the time wasn't 2 days per turn I would say go for it and try for solo victory, but it's been long enough.
11 Feb 16 UTC Autumn, 1907: Is that Austria, the victim of his own machinations, hoisted on his own petard, now trying to stir up trouble? Pa-shaw!
11 Feb 16 UTC Autumn, 1907: I just want to see a winner
11 Feb 16 UTC Autumn, 1907: you're in luck Austria, you are about to see three!
11 Feb 16 UTC Autumn, 1907: Now that Germany and England are gone I am ready and willing to draw, I sent in my draw vote. I'm only still taking land to pass the time while I wanted for England and Germany to go. I don't really intend on dragging this game on multiple turns longer fighting for a solo, I just want it to end.
12 Feb 16 UTC Autumn, 1907: Ha-ha! I've got you right where I want you. I am king of the channel isles! I will destroy my fleet only when I am declared "biggest loser" by each of the triumviri. Grovel before me or face 2 days of torment as the phase grinds on.
12 Feb 16 UTC Autumn, 1907: Oh well, two-player then, France?
12 Feb 16 UTC Autumn, 1907: Let's draw after England is out in the Spring.
12 Feb 16 UTC Autumn, 1907: ^
12 Feb 16 UTC Autumn, 1907: My draw vote is already in, I've just been taking land because I've got nothing else to do
12 Feb 16 UTC Autumn, 1907: Okay England, I declare you the biggest loser
12 Feb 16 UTC Autumn, 1907: Yay!
12 Feb 16 UTC Autumn, 1907: England, you lost. Good job... Let's go already.
12 Feb 16 UTC Autumn, 1907: Say it!
13 Feb 16 UTC Autumn, 1907: I will draw after the build phase.
13 Feb 16 UTC Autumn, 1907: You are the biggest loser.
14 Feb 16 UTC Voting draw
14 Feb 16 UTC Voting draw now.
14 Feb 16 UTC Since both France and I have just voted draw and the game is not over, that can only mean one thing. Again, France, this looks like a two-player draw or we let Turkey live when he is down to one or two centers. I will not reward intransigence with a significant amount of points.
14 Feb 16 UTC France, with your blessing, and only with your blessing, I will withdraw my draw vote.
14 Feb 16 UTC France, with your blessing, and only with your blessing, I will withdraw my draw vote.
14 Feb 16 UTC guys, russia could also not have a draw vote in and just wants to win more, but fight more, I want to see one victor!
14 Feb 16 UTC *win more. But fight
14 Feb 16 UTC That would be possible if I did not already send France an image of my screen showing that I have set to draw.
14 Feb 16 UTC or france faked his vote
14 Feb 16 UTC or turkey. or you took a picture earlier for that express purpose
14 Feb 16 UTC No, I just cast my vote draw this turn...
14 Feb 16 UTC I am voting draw this turn for the first time. My fault on the delay.
14 Feb 16 UTC I think Turkey will draw; commit to your moves and it will probably draw. Both Russia and Turkey have grey check marks, not green.
14 Feb 16 UTC The game ends when the third player selects draw. It does not need a turn change. Turkey simply wants to see if he can solo. I will not let him benefit.
France, it will be a close thing in that Turkey will gain more centers than he currently has. That is why I will withdraw my "Draw" setting as the phase is about to end. I do not want turkey having the opportunity to draw when he hits his high-water mark of centers. When I remove my "Draw" order it will stay off until Turkey is removed or reduced to one or two centers.
I've been in these situations before. Patience is the key. Provided we coordinate carefully, Turkey cannot win. We have the power to either go for a two-player draw or draw with Turkey when Turkey in reduced to a center or two. By then he will likely be happy to draw, but his point total will be less than he paid to play in the first place.
I will now text you my moves.
14 Feb 16 UTC drawen
14 Feb 16 UTC A draw! Awesome! Now I have a manageable number of games. That you both for the game. What changed your mind, Turkey?
15 Feb 16 UTC This game had gone on too long
15 Feb 16 UTC True.
15 Feb 16 UTC so turkey was the culprit?
