15 Dec 15 UTC Good game PF well done!
15 Dec 15 UTC gg - a few missed turns - only way italy does well
15 Dec 15 UTC Hey, I survived! Wow! Good game though.
15 Dec 15 UTC Russia, you were tough!
15 Dec 15 UTC Lucky I survived. Not attacking France was a mistake, didn'T noticed ngland was o the edge to fail.
15 Dec 15 UTC Oh. I won? I was counting on another year to get Berlin. Good game everyone. It's been fun.
England: why did you just let me invade you? I was really confused in 03 when you just abandoned England proper to continue fighting Germany. That's really the main reason I won.
15 Dec 15 UTC When German kicked me out of Sweden after I supported her into Belgium, I knew I had no chance. The only thing left was to go all out to destroy Germany.

The game is called Diplomacy for a reason. The game is designed so that you are not supposed to win without alliances.

France - congratulations and well played. Going into the channel on the first turn usually results in an alliance between England and Germany. Luckily for you, Germany is a complete idiot and decided that it would be cool to invade Russia.

15 Dec 15 UTC p.s. I took over, so my apologiez I didn't catch that little sign of yours. And resentiments are always bad in diplomacy.

15 Dec 15 UTC True. I was hoping Germany would help me against you. That once he saw I was taking an anti- English approach he'd join in.
15 Dec 15 UTC Germany and Turkey both attacked me for too long. I'm amazed I survived!
15 Dec 15 UTC Silly trying to take Pete though
15 Dec 15 UTC Yes boss.
15 Dec 15 UTC Hey didn't you just solo against me as France in a gb a few weeks ago?

16 Dec 15 UTC Yep, and Pete was the last centre I took. :-) So I knew about Pete, but it's PPSC and maybe I would have held it at the end... and there wasn't much else to do.
16 Dec 15 UTC Yeah... Almost the same situation too. France winning with Italy in second. Same SCs

16 Dec 15 UTC What's going on with your repeat messages, England?
16 Dec 15 UTC he either keeps clicking refresh or is just retarded

17 Dec 15 UTC The only idiot here is you, since you caused France's win. An english player who gets invaded so early doesn't seem to be very skilled. Especially Spring 1903, complete mess by England. If you don't see that coming everything else is meaningless.
17 Dec 15 UTC After England supports you into Belgium, you have six supply units and England has four. That is ten units poised to destroy Germany's main rival, France. France has five units, two in Iberia. If Germany goes after France, it likely wins the game. Instead, you chose to fight England in Sweden and then invade Russia. That Russian campaign sure worked out well.

As William Goldman said, "You fell victim to one of the classic blunders - The most famous of which is "never get involved in a land war in Asia"".

Once you take Sweden, England has no chance to survive. The only decision is who England should be more pissed at. My philosophy in Diplomacy is to always punish stupidity, it is the only way bad players learn. I hope this helps.
17 Dec 15 UTC Well I disagree about France being Germany's main enemy. France and Germany, after taking on England, can each go their separate ways. France into the med, and Germany into Russia.
On the other hand, if England and Germany destroy France, Germany is completely left open for the eventual stab from England.
17 Dec 15 UTC As I said, resentiments is bad for playing diplomacy.
Don't forget it is a non ingame message game, so everything has to be assumed. Don't rely on any kindness given to the previous german player.
It was also not my campaign that lost your own soil, but your weak defense moves. That's the beaut of diplomacy, even if someone is acting not in your interest you figure out a way to be ahead of the others.
