01 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 1902: Hmm?
01 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 1902: You are sorta the lynch pin of the south. Austria can't really make any gains except agienst you and he needs an ally in one of us. He can't attack warsaw or Moscow. Just Bulgaria and Rumania and you are right at my underbelly and there's nothing I can do about it. So yeah your made down here. ^^
01 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 1902: yeah, I've learned not to underestimate Turkey. I've never been Turkey, been eliminated by him multiple times.
01 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 1902: hopefully this time we can work together, right Turkey?
01 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 1902: Turkey, Russia and England aer my favourite starts. For vastly different reasons. I like Russia due to the fact your everyones enemy. I like England becuase I like boats and I lie Turkey for being the secret juggernaut. Well.... Turkey + Russia is technically "THE JUGGERNAUT". I'm just saying no one expects Turkey.
01 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 1902: really? I don't like being England at all. I like Germany and France the best. I've only had bad experiences being Russia. I haven't figured out the little delicacies needed to be a successful Russia.
01 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 1902: The main part of being Russia is two fold. Enland's early attack to the onrth. And the front to the south. The main thing you have to do as Russia is get at least on friend ebtween Italy, Austria or Turkey. Italy only accounts if they want to be aggressive to Austria though. Basicly you need a friend. Turkey works best for this.
01 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 1902: The other big key to Russia is the black sea. It's basicly like rolling over and exosing your underbelly to Turkey if they get it. I tried giving it to Turkey as an act of good faith and it didn't really work. :P ^^
01 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 1902: *Coming from a semi-newb*
01 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 1902: I'm sure Shield is disagreeing with me on all of htat :P
01 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 1902: Sorry for rambling ^_^'
01 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 1902: Usually as Russia I prefer to convoy Munich to Tyrolia.
01 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 1902: It works because no one ever sees it coming!
01 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 1902: It took me way way way way to long to figure out you weren't being serious. As I talked politics in another game as Italy to Austria about those literal spots.
01 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 1902: My least favourite start is Italy but than alot of people can say that. I'm doing ok in that game though.
01 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 1902: Actually no least favourite start is France. Italy I find interesting. France I always try a wierd start and it always backfires.
01 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 1902: I guess I'm not really a newbie any more (not a political puppet at least), the thing is that I tried to play classic and got clobbered. So I got discouraged and then was made my fortune in America and Ancient Med.
01 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 1902: I have only done ancient med once. Just with friends on this site. I'm not sure I like how far away everyone is.
01 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 1902: So I appreciate the advice. maybe this time I will can eliminate a few people!
01 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 1902: I like that (how far everyone is)
01 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 1902: I like that (how far everyone is)
01 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 1902: The way I learned alot about the classic game was by watching youtube videos. ^_^' Well experience too. But the thing I think that moved me from pleb player number 34251 was watching a set of videos that went over every country and their potential opening moves and their sorta goals and shit.
01 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 1902: Now i'm pleb palyer number 25162. That's slightly higher :D
01 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 1902: *Maybe it sounded that way, but I didn't get discouraged after the first try. I know that would happen. I just kept on getting clobbered.
01 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 1902: 3689 totally jealous.
01 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 1902: If you want I can link you up to the vids. Opening moves means alot in a game like this. So the guy just going over those helped me out alot.
01 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 1902: So shield. What's your fav and least fav starts?
01 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 1902: I really don't like any of them.
01 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 1902: You don't like any starts? So your ok iwth all of them or is this your way of tleling us you don't like the game? :P
01 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 1902: I like the game, but otherwise yes.
01 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 1902: I see. That's fair. I don't hate any starts. Just some I get a bit more excited to see.
05 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 1904: I dreamed to big :P
05 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 1904: Oh, yeah. Sorry Italy and Russia. Stabbing you now.
05 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 1904: Oh yeah no prob :P I won't go down with out a fight. But I dreamt to big.
06 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 1904: I don't remeber moving into finland.........
08 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 1905: Well I for one welcome my new French, English and Turkish overlords.
08 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 1905: happy to oblige
08 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 1905: rule 1: surrender
08 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 1905: rule 2: learn to bake croissants, baguettes, and make cheese.
08 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 1905: rule 3: fly the French colors of red white and blue...
...though primarily white.
08 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 1905: England is deporting us to Serbia though.
08 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 1905: I will fly a flag though... a flag of a gaint middle finger.
11 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 1906: just a heads up:
I will be out of town a week from tomorrow. This game should be finished by then, but if it's not... you have been warned.
11 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 1906: Okay. Thanks for heads up.
14 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 1908: GG everyone. It was fun.
14 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 1908: gg
15 Dec 15 UTC Autumn, 1908: I'm good for a draw now, but I'll do whatever.
15 Dec 15 UTC GG
