13 Sep 15 UTC Spring, 2010: If this game doesn't fill, I'll create one with 8 hour phases then, that should be ok.
13 Sep 15 UTC Spring, 2010: Do you mean 12 hours a year (not phase)? Because if not, I'm not sure what you mean.
13 Sep 15 UTC Spring, 2010: I mean a 6 hour phase, which in reality can give you 12 hours in between the need to enter orders againorders (6 for the current phase if you enter your orders right away, and 6 hours before the next phase is due). That's 12 hours sleep time, should be more than enough for everyone.
13 Sep 15 UTC Spring, 2010: Oh I get what you mean now.
13 Sep 15 UTC Spring, 2010: But that would be very non-press oriented.
13 Sep 15 UTC Spring, 2010: If I were to do that, it'd have to be gunboat.
13 Sep 15 UTC Spring, 2010: I'll keep entering a world map with 8 hour phases then, until we find 17 players. I'll call it: "It's a Fast World". It will probably never start, we'll see.
13 Sep 15 UTC Spring, 2010: What's the press level, public?
13 Sep 15 UTC Spring, 2010: 8 hour phases are too short -- you can literally sleep through an entire phase. I'm not sure why you'd ever play shorter than 12 hour phases, unless it's a live game.
13 Sep 15 UTC Autumn, 2010: 8 hours means you can get 16 hours sleep.
Press level? Never heard of that, have no idea what gunboat means either?
13 Sep 15 UTC Autumn, 2010: Press level means what kind of press is allowed. (Full, public, or none). Gunboat means no press.
13 Sep 15 UTC Autumn, 2010: you mean messaging? right now only public messaging but I'll change it to full.
13 Sep 15 UTC Autumn, 2010: Nah don't change it for me. Like I said, with shorter phases, press is difficult to do.
13 Sep 15 UTC Autumn, 2010: gameID=167355
World map, 10 hour phases (max 20 hours sleep time)
All messaging allowed
We need 17 players so tell your friends (although it's unlikely you have any) :)
13 Sep 15 UTC Autumn, 2010: Sorry, don't really like world map - From what I've seen of it, it often have all to many new and/or undedicated players, which in a map like that really ruins it all - even if it's just global/gun boat.
13 Sep 15 UTC Autumn, 2010: Yeah. I haven't played one yet, I just want to try it, but with 17 players and 24 hour phases, it takes forever. That's why I want to try it with at least some players who I know are active. We can always start a new american map also.
13 Sep 15 UTC Autumn, 2010: I have joined some games when players left, as I've done with this one. I think, that for a really good game, you need to select each player and make a password so you're secure on dedication and knowledge of the game and map.
13 Sep 15 UTC Autumn, 2010: (that's of course only my opinion on larger games as this and world)
13 Sep 15 UTC Autumn, 2010: yeah, true
15 Sep 15 UTC Spring, 2011: I will draw when California is gone.
15 Sep 15 UTC Spring, 2011: Ouch, man, what did I do to you? :P
15 Sep 15 UTC Spring, 2011: Ahh man, stop the lam attempt to fool us. We saw it coming ten miles away your solo attempt.

You stepped right into the horseshit, now, you can either draw it with Cali and let it be a 4-way or you can attempt that lame solo you've started on.
15 Sep 15 UTC Spring, 2011: You're telling me that you can't simultaneously eliminate a two-center power while defending against me?
15 Sep 15 UTC Spring, 2011: If I tell you that I would take the heat off of you in the north, would you believe me? I am going to fight to the death down by Missouri, but I want Cali dead bad enough that I'd pass up a shot at Vancouver to achieve that.
15 Sep 15 UTC Spring, 2011: ...what? Why?
15 Sep 15 UTC Spring, 2011: You all think I am going for a solo, so we'll assume that for a second. When I inevitably fail at that, because this is the hardest map to solo on, I would like a three-way draw. Cali can be destroyed in a year's time. Until you cede to this. I am not going to lighten up my assault anywhere.
15 Sep 15 UTC Spring, 2011: Theres a common saying in this game, that the map reveals the thruth. You didn't need to attack Missouri and you didn't need to push all of your armies towards my SC's. I have kept every agreement with you, while you broke everyone of them. The same appears to be the case with your agreements with Peru.

And Yes, a 2 SC player can be the only thing standing in way of a solo - stop acting like a dumb new player, your sherade doesn't work.

You made the bed, now lay in it, and stop your lame attempt to break our alliance.
15 Sep 15 UTC Spring, 2011: Any possibility of a solo is now gone. As you've said, to try now, it would be a "lame solo attempt". What can I do to make you eliminate Cali?
16 Sep 15 UTC Spring, 2011: There's nothing you can do. You're still just attempting a lame solo.

We will not eliminate Cali cause we need him. You might as well draw it 4-way, ain't much of a difference in points and he deserves to be part of the draw.
16 Sep 15 UTC Spring, 2011: What if I surrendered anchorage?
16 Sep 15 UTC Autumn, 2011: Just give it up, you're lame solo attempt won't work.

You can get a 4-way draw or nothing at all.
16 Sep 15 UTC Autumn, 2011: Nothing at all isn't a thing, you're just speaking gibberish now. Quit talking about my lame solo attempt. I'll give you a bunch of SCs if you just get rid of Cali.
16 Sep 15 UTC Autumn, 2011: Give away too many, and suddenly Peru will become the solo threat...
16 Sep 15 UTC Autumn, 2011: :) thinking.......nah
I voted draw already and it will stay that way. You can cancel your draw vote and vote draw at any time you want.
16 Sep 15 UTC Autumn, 2011: I won't get rid of Cali - quit talking about that.
You'll get nothing if Peru ends up soloing or if we succeed in giving Cali and I your SC's instead. You have a chance for a 4-way - your chance for a 3-way was removed by yourself when you started your advance on me and Perus areas of interest.
16 Sep 15 UTC Autumn, 2011: Whatever, I'll draw after builds.
16 Sep 15 UTC Autumn, 2011: Good game though, despite the CDs.
16 Sep 15 UTC Autumn, 2011: whomp whomp whomp.
16 Sep 15 UTC Autumn, 2011: Only reason I'm drawing is because I'm worried about the Florida solo threat.
16 Sep 15 UTC Autumn, 2011: I'm still not sure why you were so intent on getting rid of me... I thought we were bffs!
16 Sep 15 UTC Autumn, 2011: Ha Nothing personal, I just wanted a tighter draw for GR purposes. (I still love you)
16 Sep 15 UTC Autumn, 2011: Peru, can you ready up so we can finish this?
16 Sep 15 UTC Autumn, 2011: yup
16 Sep 15 UTC Good game everyone, was fun. It would have been interesting to see if NY would conquer all or collapse but a draw is better for everyone probably. Hope to see you all again sometime.
PS Now I know why NY wanted Holguin so badly lol, I was joking earlier with BC about guantanamo!
17 Sep 15 UTC :-P

I think he would have collapsed - if not, you and I would have made some very grave mistakes..
17 Sep 15 UTC Just recently realized why this game is so very different from others - there's not around double amount of SC's needed for a solo (34*2-1=67), there is only 58...
17 Sep 15 UTC yep, but there are only 10 players while normally you would probably have more than 10 players with 58 SC's on the map. 58/33*7= 12,3 players in stead of 10 (check my math please). Basically it's easier to grow in the earlier stages and more challenging to get the solo win as the opponents will all be stronger and a larger portion of the map is required to win.
17 Sep 15 UTC oeps... 58/34*7=11,9. Same answer, compared to classic this map should have 12 players, not 10
17 Sep 15 UTC Yeah, and those more players should add some more SC's. My point was that it just got clear to me how difficult it is to gain a solo on this map - actually too difficult.
17 Sep 15 UTC yeah
