Autumn, 2008: [India]:I will vote draw, and request Libya to withhold until the Near East and Russia are eliminated. If this is good with everyone?
Autumn, 2008: [Near-East]:Too mean +_#
Autumn, 2008: [India]:My draw vote is up
Autumn, 2008: [Quebec]:Lybia, Draw
Autumn, 2008: [India]:Libya, wait till NE and Russia are out
Autumn, 2008: [Near-East]:Libya no :( Let us live, be merciful! |
|
Autumn, 2008: [Near-East]:India and Libya just fucked with me the entire game :
Autumn, 2008: [India]:Dude you joined by the end.
Autumn, 2008: [Near-East]:My entire game, since I joined x_x Why do you do this? If you are going for a draw, and have a lot of forces. Why do you have to lie to the small guy? and betray him twice, all the while working with your ally? :o |
|
Spring, 2009: [Libya]:No sure why the push to draw is on the table. There's plenty of game left, it seems to me, but this is my first World Diplomacy IX game. Am I missing something?
Spring, 2009: [Western-Canada]:Well, the push for the draw, at least as I see it and as it was discussed with me is as follows. After Near East is gone we have 5 left. India, Quebec and Kenya are pretty big. While myself and Libya are not so big. In the event that one of the larger powers was able to dominate a smaller power and then removed their "draw" vote, the game could result in a Solo. Seeing that it is winner take all, I would much rather make double what I put into it, than risk one of the other 4 powers messing up orders or going MIA and giving the game to another. Now if I was in a position to increase the likelihood of me being the winner, then my outlook would be different. As the climate sits now, none of us are a shoe-in for the win. Best time to draw in my opinion. |
|
Spring, 2009: [Near-East]:It is like talking about my death, before I am gone. India and Libya are mean! Could have told your greedy intentions earlier. Atleast end this painful death quickly. If you are all going to draw after Russia and Me are gone, then what is taking so long for your orders? |
|
Spring, 2009: [India]:Sorry for the NMR guys... What a miserable day I forgot about the game.
Spring, 2009: [Libya]:If you hit "ready" it will move the game along, right?
Autumn, 2009: [Near-East]:Yes, and I am being so co-operative while you guys are running me over. Don't drag it guys :o
Autumn, 2009: [India]:Actually i'm tired of this and I'm going to be travelling soon. No one is going to solo and no one is going to be eliminated at this point. Feel free to draw now Libya, the game is over.
Autumn, 2009: [Near-East]:They are just scared of you Libya. Also, wasn't I the most prompt loser? Remind me not to take CDs again. |
|
Autumn, 2009: [India]:Russia is back. Don't draw yet
Autumn, 2009: [Libya]:Yes, Quebec and I will have to come to some kind of deal as we each keep defending Italy from the other's attack.
Autumn, 2009: [India]:Quebec should aid you into it as you have less SCs
Autumn, 2009: [Western-Canada]:If one of you would just take it we could end this game.
Autumn, 2009: [Libya]:What sayest, Quebec? Support me into Italy from Austria-Hungary after the build is over? Or at least do not defend Italy from France or Germany?
Autumn, 2009: [Quebec]:OK
Autumn, 2009: [Libya]:Deal.
Spring, 2010: [Libya]:So I got Italy, thanks Quebec. Now we need to wait until the end of the Fall turn for me to Draw, correct?
Spring, 2010: [India]:Yes
Spring, 2010: [Quebec]:OK
Spring, 2010: [Near-East]:Will you guys finish this already 9_9
Spring, 2010: [Libya]:The remainder of us need to save our moves and hit "ready" to get to the end of the Fall turn. I just did, which required me for some reason to disband my fleet ejected from the NE Atlantic rather than retreat to Britain, but it hardly matters now. So let's all save and hit ready.
Spring, 2010: [India]:You can't retreat to the place the unit moved from.
Spring, 2010: [Libya]:Ah. I didn't see a fleet there during my move decisions but just checked the orders. Those fleets are hard to spy on the global board.
[Libya]:Okay, gents. Russia is defeated. I will bring the game to a close with a draw. Thanks for the game. |
