13 May 15 UTC Spring, 1905: Interesting! European games usually end at the end of '07, apparently. I hadn't realised we'd done just that.
13 May 15 UTC Spring, 1905: I keep looking at this game and going "this is probably a draw".

.....
13 May 15 UTC Spring, 1905: This is a good example of how different a FTF game is (with short deadlines, and time limited) to an online game (long time for negotiation and analysis, infinite time scope). Much of the analysis during the evening is different from the analysis now.
13 May 15 UTC Spring, 1905: Also, I've had less beer. I guess I have the resources to address that....
14 May 15 UTC Spring, 1905: I'll probably let the clock run down on this phase, as long as that's ok with everyone. Work is very busy right now - the deadline that was supposed to be on the 11th is now on the 18th.

I don't mind playing under pressure, though - it better models the FTF :)
15 May 15 UTC Autumn, 1905: Do you guys mind if we extend this phase by one day? I will not be around tomorrow and I don't have time to negotiate now.
15 May 15 UTC Autumn, 1905: I don't have a problem with an extension or brief pause- but not having the time is a good model for FTF :)
15 May 15 UTC Autumn, 1905: I've voted pause in case you want it.
15 May 15 UTC Autumn, 1905: Paused here. Also out on the piss tomorrow lol
16 May 15 UTC Autumn, 1905: Paused. Similarly busy.
16 May 15 UTC Autumn, 1905: *voted pause
17 May 15 UTC Autumn, 1905: My unpause vote is also in.
19 May 15 UTC Autumn, 1905: I'll unpause, but also WFO with only 4 hours left.
19 May 15 UTC Autumn, 1905: (and apologies, I have quite a weird week IRL)
19 May 15 UTC Autumn, 1905: You there, Check_mate?
23 May 15 UTC Autumn, 1905: oh my gosh so sorry guys, every time I checked in I saw this game on pause, I didn't realise you were holding things up for me. Give me a couple of hours and moves will be in.
04 Jun 15 UTC Spring, 1908: Somebody should really grab Albania.
04 Jun 15 UTC Spring, 1908: Maybe I will nip round there......
07 Jun 15 UTC Autumn, 1908: Eliminated the day after my birthday, ahhh such is life. Gg guys, both halves :)
09 Jun 15 UTC Autumn, 1908: Hope you had a great birthday!

Thanks for joining us for this, it's great to be able to continue this and see how it goes :)
09 Jun 15 UTC Autumn, 1908: Not being the first eliminated was an achievement :D
09 Jun 15 UTC Autumn, 1908: Being part of the fourway draw even! As nice of a game that this is, it's an entirely different game than the one in the Artillery Arms!
09 Jun 15 UTC Spring, 1909: Guys, do you mind extending this phase by one day? I have an exam tomorrow, and it's the one I've been dreading and am terrible at so I want to focus entirely on it. This game is at a pretty important stage so I would like to be able to have time to negotiate.
09 Jun 15 UTC Spring, 1909: And agreed, TM - I think this game ended at an appropriate point in the AA for FTF, and you well deserved that draw, Check_Mate. Thanks for agreeing to carry this on with us - this was more an experiment in how we view the board differently online to FTF and how the result changes. The 'official' and accepted ending to this game was and still is a four way between us :)
09 Jun 15 UTC Spring, 1909: No problem with extending the phase.
10 Jun 15 UTC Spring, 1909: Thanks for playing again Check_mate - it was so nice of everyone to come to London to play. I agree with the others about the official result being a four way.

I'm fine with extending the phase, capt. Good luck with your exam!
10 Jun 15 UTC Spring, 1909: ***t-t-time extension****

(I set it to two days, 12 hours)
10 Jun 15 UTC Spring, 1909: I'd do press. But with these phases, fuck it, I'm going to bed.
12 Jun 15 UTC Spring, 1909: Are we going to do another ftf?
13 Jun 15 UTC Autumn, 1909: I hope so! Not sure when I'll next make it to Europe, but I'll let everyone know.

Of course, you guys can always meet without me. Or there's Manorcon coming up!
15 Jun 15 UTC Autumn, 1909: Should we reset this to 36 hour phases?
15 Jun 15 UTC Autumn, 1909: Posting this in Global so everyone knows what's going on here:

ATC stabbed me for a third time last turn, this time in such a way that I do not think I will make it into a draw if this game continues. As such I have told him that I will do everything in my power to throw to Germany if he does not hit draw by the end of the build phase.

If he does not hit draw, my draw vote goes down permanently and this game will end a solo.

The ball is in his court now.
15 Jun 15 UTC Autumn, 1909: I also changed the phase length back to 36h.
16 Jun 15 UTC Autumn, 1909: Stab me once, shame on you. Stab me twice, shame on me. Stab me thrice, I seem to be getting off on it.
18 Jun 15 UTC Spring, 1910: Apologies for the delay!
22 Jun 15 UTC Autumn, 1910: Ooo stroke of luck, ATC are you about?
22 Jun 15 UTC Autumn, 1910: Just heading to bed- but you can send me a PM and I'll get it in my morning.
22 Jun 15 UTC Autumn, 1910: Not to worry I have emailed the webdipmod email :)
24 Jun 15 UTC Spring, 1911: Could I ask for a 24h pause? A bit busy on my end. Not in the least due to the FTF coming up!
24 Jun 15 UTC Spring, 1911: Sure thing.

I note that the draw and pause buttons are too close together.
25 Jun 15 UTC Spring, 1911: I've voted to unpause.
26 Jun 15 UTC Spring, 1911: Bump for unpause
01 Jul 15 UTC Spring, 1911: Thanks. The good news is that the pause helped me earn €10k for my company! So happy.
01 Jul 15 UTC Spring, 1911: Woah! Congrats!
01 Jul 15 UTC Spring, 1911: Thanks! First big score since I joined, so feels good.
01 Jul 15 UTC Spring, 1911: (it's been a busy few days)
01 Jul 15 UTC Spring, 1911: Damnit, TM. This could have been a two way.
01 Jul 15 UTC GG, all! A great conclusion to a great game :)
01 Jul 15 UTC Well played, gentlemen.
01 Jul 15 UTC I have a meeting right now, but I'll write something more detailled up soon.
