07 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 2007: Seriously? Michal, if you don't move to Hawaii, I'll tell Monika that we went to strip clubs the whole time she was gone. And for the rest of you skurwysyny, I don't know if you are all trying to get in on the drug trafficking routes or what, but this is getting ridiculous...
07 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 2007: Actually, Monika left me a handful of 10 PLN bills to tip strippers so they can save enough money to go to college.
08 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 2007: Okay. That's about the funniest exchange I have ever seen from you guys. I can't stop laughing!
08 Feb 15 UTC Spring, 2008: She's a keeper!
09 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 2008: Guys, I got my fellow FAOs addicted to the game- please join this one to fill it up-it's Classic map:

09 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 2008: Oooooooh, Mexico, I guess I'll have to go.
Woh, Mexico, I never really been so I don't really know.
And oh, Mexico, I guess I'll have to go now.
Talking bout Mexico. Big ol' honkey-tonk down in Mexico....
09 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 2008: Sorry copy paste fail
09 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 2008: Anyway, I recognize that I'm probably going to lose and that all of the units I destroyed this turn will rise up to confront me again, and soon. That said, there is a certain savage joy in annihilating enemy units. I'm pretty sure this makes me a bad person...
09 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 2008: i wouldnt worry yet.... Still lots of betrayal to come, methinks....
09 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 2008: Damn. I missed the start of a new game.
10 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 2008: Start another one. It's never too late!
10 Feb 15 UTC Spring, 2009: No one writes, no one calls. I'm so lonely up here...
11 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 2009: I wonder how those Texans got so lost in Idaho?

11 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 2009: 44 SC's? 17 players? And you thought this game took awhile...
11 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 2009: Maybe if Mexico would stop hammering away at the same strip of land for the whole game things would go a bit quicker...
11 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 2009: I think Nicaragua is a wasteland at this point...
11 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 2009: Yeah and Iowa and Virginia aren't much prettier...
12 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 2009: ...or Missouri or Western Ontario...
13 Feb 15 UTC Spring, 2010: I think its time we count the human cost of this war. Let's assume for the sake of argument that everytime a move fails costs 1,000 casualties, that every time a unit is dislogdged, 10,000 casualties, and that every disbanded unit represents 100,000 casualties. Well there have been 287 fails, 52 dislodges, and 22 disbands. Just under 3 million casualties. And these are just the military casualties. Think of the hundreds of thousand affected civilians. Why, I hear that in South Beach in the Floridian Confederacy, they have started rationing suntan lotion. In short, I think it's time for peace.
13 Feb 15 UTC Spring, 2010: It must be a peace without victory...Victory would mean peace forced upon the loser, a victor's terms imposed upon the vanquished. It would be accepted in humiliation, under duress, at an intolerable sacrifice, and would leave a sting, a resentment, a bitter memory upon which terms of peace would rest, not permanently, but only as upon quicksand. Only a peace between equals can last.
- Woodrow Wilson 22 January 1917
13 Feb 15 UTC Spring, 2010: From the Junta in Mexico to the GOQ in the land of Ice and Snow: In April 1917 Wilson asked Congress to declare war in order to make "the world safe for democracy." That is what we are doing, making the world safe for democracy by forging ahead with WAR! He loaned billions of dollars to the Allies, allowing them to finance their own war effort. We are supporting our Allies and helping them gain what is rightfully theirs. Wilson set up an effective draft law and by summer 1918 was sending newly trained soldiers to France at the rate of 10,000 a day. So see we can replenish the losses and keep going all in the name of keeping our world safe for "our own" Democracy!! History and national propaganda all in one easy lesson.
13 Feb 15 UTC Spring, 2010: he only asked after the Zimmerman telegram, encouraging Mexico to invade the U.S., as I recall...
15 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 2010: FYI. I'm skiing in Zakopany this week and may respond slowly to messages.
18 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 2011: *******************************Breaking News**********************************

Breaking news as after a decade of occupation, the island nation the Dominican Republic has been liberated by Peruvian forces. Reporting live on the scene is imbedded newsman Ron Burgundy:

In the spring of 2000, the Floridian Empire shocked the world by forcibly annexing the Dominican Republic. For over a decade, the Dominican people have had to endure the insatiable appetite of pensioners and octogenarians who struggled to find handicapped parking in their native peninsula. Joy and elation met the liberating Peruvian forces as the local population flooded the streets in support.

However, whatever relief experienced as a result of the liberation quickly faded, as the world faced the reality of the damage and destruction inflicted on the poor island nation from a decade of occupation. One local woman, who declined to give her name for fear of reprisal from the remaining guerilla forces, known as "Los Abuelos que Luchan,” had this to say:

It was terrible under “El Régimen de Ancianos.” All of our grocery stores were turned into Old Town Buffets where the Floridians would sit for hours on end, feasting on mashed potatoes and roast beef. All parking was turned into handicapped parking, and traffic fatalities rose 4000%. The only industries that survived were those who sold their products on the QVC shopping channel, or that sold fake insurance and scooters.

The Peruvian government will seek to gain support from the United Nations for reconstruction efforts and the modernization of nursing homes to quell any remaining dissent.
22 Feb 15 UTC Spring, 2013: This is getting boring... Draw?
22 Feb 15 UTC Spring, 2013: I thought we had momentum, but then TX changed his vote.
23 Feb 15 UTC Spring, 2013: whoops.
23 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 2013: Draw...? Draw??? DRAW?!?!?! After 20+ turns of being attacked at any given time by 2 or 3 people (and through the passive acquiescence of many others) there will be no negotiated peace. Too many innocent souls in Nicaragua have been lost and too many turtles slaughtered. Only total victory or unconditional surrender!
24 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 2013: I agree with Jeff. Too much blood has been shed, despite my earnest appeals for peace.
25 Feb 15 UTC Spring, 2014: Jeff... Who is Jeff? You guys should finish this so we can start another. :-)
25 Feb 15 UTC Spring, 2014: Damn autocorrect.
25 Feb 15 UTC Spring, 2014: Hey Cali, did you see the pics of the bean bag?
25 Feb 15 UTC Spring, 2014: Dear Texas. Please submit your order. Thanks, the People of the Americas.
25 Feb 15 UTC Spring, 2014: So no kidding last game I played a guy waited till the last hour to submit every move every time because he was losing. It was extremely-not-so-passive-aggressive.

That being said, are we drawing this or not? It's gone on way too long.
25 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 2014: Conditions upon which Peru will accept a draw:

1) A formal, public apology from Mexico for the destruction of Nicaragua
2) A formal, public apology from Florida for the environmental catastrophe resulting from the innumerable destroyed naval vessels in the Gulf
3) A plan for actionable, democratic reform in the Texan Imperium
4) A case of maple syrup and Ice Hockey jersey from BC
25 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 2014: And it is important to remember that political will and endurance are key variables when considering the use of military force. I am unemployed and have all the time in the world for this now...
25 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 2014: Texas requests to know where it's Beer is that it was promised from Quebec in an earlier alternate universe.
25 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 2014: The spirit of Quebec's past life apologizes for the tardiness and will be around shortly.
26 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 2014: Texas recommends peace based on this noble gesture.
02 Mar 15 UTC Autumn, 2016: Thanks to incredible Texas engineering, it's navy has been able to enter the deepest swamps of the deep south, reaching as far as the former "Huntsville" Alabama. Utilizing long forgetten technologies of old 'gater hunters, the fleet is currently in areas previously inaccessible to navies. Or perhaps it is just a map glitch.
04 Mar 15 UTC Spring, 2018: Gentlemen,
is it clearly not time for Peace? BC has relocated to the safe warm waters of San Francisco, where it belongs.
04 Mar 15 UTC Spring, 2018: Why are you positioning your fleets...?
04 Mar 15 UTC Spring, 2018: Peace, we yearn for it like a wino yearns for booze. Now that the wonderful land of Canada has been reunited, the only thing that stands in the way of peace is the Canadian pretender huddling in San Francisco.
04 Mar 15 UTC Spring, 2018: Mmmmm, booze.
04 Mar 15 UTC Spring, 2018: My fleets are in international waters and ensuring the treaties are abided by... They are also searching vainly for passage to the pacific, since Farkastaj does not allow usage of the famed "Panama Canal" despite it being constructed by Texans many centuries ago.
06 Mar 15 UTC Autumn, 2018: Let there be peace.
16 Mar 15 UTC Are you guys done yet?
