30 Oct 14 UTC Autumn, 1901: I'm cool with getting back on a Sunday night schedule if everyone else is cool with that.
30 Oct 14 UTC Autumn, 1901: Also, Budassi, I've got your shoes.
01 Nov 14 UTC Autumn, 1901: welcome back Cory! you guys have a good time?
02 Nov 14 UTC Autumn, 1901: Thanks Mike, we had a great time! It was very relaxing, which was exactly what we needed.
05 Nov 14 UTC Autumn, 1901: unpaused! yay!
06 Nov 14 UTC Autumn, 1901: well looks like everyone put their orders in, so just hit ready already! That means you russia, england, and germany!
07 Nov 14 UTC Autumn, 1901: mi scusi, principessa!
07 Nov 14 UTC Autumn, 1901: иди к черту
07 Nov 14 UTC Autumn, 1901: России сволочь
07 Nov 14 UTC Autumn, 1901: лол
14 Nov 14 UTC Autumn, 1901: just waitin on dem russkies...
19 Nov 14 UTC Spring, 1902: In case anyone's curious what I'm doing on her so often: I'm playing Greece in this game: http://webdiplomacy.net/board.php?gameID=148544
19 Nov 14 UTC Spring, 1902: Took over in year 6 and built back from 3 units to 8
21 Nov 14 UTC Spring, 1902: well, if we're all in, let's hit da ready buttons!
05 Dec 14 UTC Autumn, 1902: Aw Raf, you couldn't hit Ready? just Save?
06 Dec 14 UTC Autumn, 1902: LOL, yes we should definitely try to hit the ready button if possible, especially on retreat and build phases, so that those don't each take a week
08 Dec 14 UTC Autumn, 1902: Damn, Tomasz, did you avoid hitting Save just to mess with us?
17 Dec 14 UTC Spring, 1903: ok friends, can we pleeeeeeeeez make these retreats quick?
18 Jan 15 UTC Autumn, 1904: Just know that I hate all of you and only Alex's nagging made me put a move in.

Also if I could abdicate my responsibilities and leave for America, I would. Fuck this continent.
18 Jan 15 UTC Autumn, 1904: "I'm in. I think we've grown up enough to not completely jeopardize our friendships a second time round. haha." -Tomasz, 9/24/14
19 Jan 15 UTC Autumn, 1904: : ( it's not personal dude
19 Jan 15 UTC Autumn, 1904: "My love for you all is infinite, so no earthly thing can strengthen it any further. That being said, I'm being assaulted on all sides right now, so I can't afford to see it replayed online.

May the best man win." - Budassi 9/25/14
19 Jan 15 UTC Autumn, 1904: I know it's not personal, I was also joking.

It does not affect our friendships - except my loathing of Alex.

It's pointless when the outcome and structure of play is predetermined. Additionally, 7 days is too long.
19 Jan 15 UTC Autumn, 1904: Also Alex is paranoid I'm messaging someone secretly right now.
19 Jan 15 UTC Autumn, 1904: I still love everyone. And I'm still really busy. What's the point of the quote?
19 Jan 15 UTC Autumn, 1904: How was the outcome and structure of play predetermined?
22 Jan 15 UTC Autumn, 1904: Don't be thick Budassi. The quote is self-explanatory.

The structures of the alliances is fixed. Alex and Mike will always be working in tandem. You and Budassi will work together. And there is no breaking those up. It's been fixed like that since almost the beginning, so the outcomes of the game are limited. Additionally, Raf, predictably, didn't care. At best I see Cory backstabbing Budassi, but it would most likely result in a three way tie. Prove me wrong. Amusingly, they also fall along our original roommate configuration. So yes it is personal, but not in the sense where I'm hurt, but rather that our normal relationships make it kind of boring to play. There'd be more mystery with strangers.
22 Jan 15 UTC Autumn, 1904: Tomasz, I can tell you that my moves in this game have nothing to do with my relationships with any of you. I'm telling you that as a friend. If you don't believe me, we have bigger problems than the game. The countries were randomly assigned. If Budassi had been in Turkey I wouldn't have had a reason to ally with him. If Raf had been in Turkey I wouldn't have attacked Raf.
22 Jan 15 UTC Autumn, 1904: If Andy, Small, and Tomasz were bordering me this game would be completely different.
22 Jan 15 UTC Autumn, 1904: Frankly, if this game is going to get anyone to question our friendship, I don't want to play anymore. I don't care about winning or not, it was supposed to be fun. If someone is doing something just to bother the other players, it's not fun and I don't think we need to continue. I'm going to vote cancel.
23 Jan 15 UTC Autumn, 1904: hey guys. we can start a new game.
the point of playing online was that we'd be able to play more than one of these games and that they wouldn't matter as much. it's a bit of a learning process tho, since it is everybody's first game and the first game i had to create.
anyway, i was thinking we could start a new one this weekend, especially now that Andy and Raf are out of it. We would need a 7th player tho if Raf doesn't want to play.
I was thinking we'd cut the phase length down to 1 or 2 days or 1 and a half days. Also, there is an option to have the players be anonymous that way we wouldn't know who had what country right off the bat. we could agree to only talk diplomacy over this console or something. we'd probably figure out who had what country eventually but at least it would add that element to the beginning stages.
what do you guys think? any other ideas?
23 Jan 15 UTC Autumn, 1904: Sounds good to me. I've been having fun. Let's finish this game and start a new one as well.
24 Jan 15 UTC Autumn, 1904: I heard I touched a few nerves, some shit was said outside of game, and conversations had to be had, so I’d like to clarify my in game shit talking. I think my text lacked tone and was misconstrued and I did not think it sounded that aggressive. My mistake. Whatever is said in game, stays in game. Whatever problems do or do not exist outside of the game, are outside of the game.
24 Jan 15 UTC Autumn, 1904: My in game Sicilian paranoia does NOT translate to outside of the game. I am totally fine with my friendships, I'm totally cool with you guys, I’m not actually going to piss on Alex’s grave like I wrote to him once. Nor am I upset about the outcome. I was quoted out of context in one of my older emails, I responded by quoting Budassi back in the same way. I was being facetious about moving to America (referencing, apparently poorly, moving to west apartments - albeit forgetting the “tomorrow").
24 Jan 15 UTC Autumn, 1904: It really was simply was I personally forgot with such long move cycles. And my comments about how the game would play out, purely my own opinion / analysis / whatever. It is amusing that the alliances fall onto roommate arrangements from undergrad. That’s it. Amusing. And the game does get personal, because well, we know each other well. It’s not bad - it just is what it is. Although I do admit I do enjoy seeing Alex get a little annoyed sometimes complaining about delays :P
24 Jan 15 UTC Autumn, 1904: Don't cancel, keep playing, and also start another game on the side. Keep multiple games going. Like we always did with settlers. The shorter moves will be a lot better for making it a regular thing in the schedule and not leaving too much time for second guessing or whatever else. I second that idea. And let's keep all communication in game regarding the game. I liked the other option me and Mike talked about available for anonymous user names. That could be more fun.
24 Jan 15 UTC Autumn, 1904: So what happens in the game, stays in the game. I like talking about other things outside of the game. Don’t always take what is said by me, in a game, so damn seriously. That’s a huge mistake. And I'll include a smiley face so it can't be misconstrued :) :P
24 Jan 15 UTC Autumn, 1904: Goodnight and good luck.
24 Jan 15 UTC Autumn, 1904: Enjoy
25 Jan 15 UTC Autumn, 1904: new game up now. it's called "Misio's Peaches" and the password is "budassislove"
all one word, no apostrophe.
25 Jan 15 UTC Spring, 1905: Sorry guys, I don't have time for another game right now.
25 Jan 15 UTC Spring, 1905: I'm also not convinced that this one is still worth playing, but I can't cancel it alone so on we go.
25 Jan 15 UTC Spring, 1905: Lets all stop being little bitches and play the game :)
25 Jan 15 UTC Spring, 1905: Looking forward to seeing everyone at the wedding :)
25 Jan 15 UTC Spring, 1905: In case the smiley faces didn't come across, you know I love all of you, but I do intend to conquer your lands, take your women, and then salt the earth...long lice the sultan
30 Jan 15 UTC Spring, 1905: Hey guys. Don't forget to hit Ready! :)
25 Feb 15 UTC Spring, 1906: Whoa, everyone's here
26 Feb 15 UTC Spring, 1906: I'd like to mention, before I hit ready, that I continue to have no interest in completing this game. I'm keeping the "cancel" vote there. But I'll add a "draw" vote in case that's more appealing to any of you.
