Spring, 1901: Hey, everybody! The game has started! The goal is 18 supply-centers. I will offer four pieces of advice that you can take what what it is: 1) It is always better to balance against a power player than to bandwagon with him 2) Maintaining a strong alliance pay greater dividends in the long run than the short term gains you might get from a stab 3) If you do stab someone, make sure it is a killing blow 4) trust no one, except for me of course! May the diplomacy begin! |

Spring, 1901: Oh, the light brown territories are empty and not claimed by anyone. In order to gain a territory, you have to hold it after the fall phase of diplomacy. Indeed, each year is broken into two phases, the spring and fall. The territory adjustment occurs after the fall. As a result, my fifth piece of advice is this: 5) Do not be afraid to take a short-term loss in the spring if it means you will be in a better position in the fall. |

Spring, 1901: Once all of your moves are entered and finalized, hit "ready." If everyone hits ready the game will automatically progress. If not, the game progresses every 24 hours.
Spring, 1901: Lastly, for the uncultured peasants among you, if you are not familiar with the origins of the "rattlers and the eagles," see this link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muzafer_Sherif#Realistic_conflict_theory |

Spring, 1901: Hey, all! I hate to do this, but I would really like to get Joel in the game, so I created a game of Modern Diplomacy with 10 players. Forgive the hold up, but I think this will make a better playing experience. If everyone could vote to draw and cancel the game, then go to this new game: http://www.webdiplomacy.net/board.php?gameID=138435 password : highschool |

Spring, 1901: This may be late, but "Redfury" is Joe.
Spring, 1901: Oh...there it is up there. Sorry for the repeat.
Spring, 1901: GameMaster: NapoleonDynamite was banned: multi. The time until the next phase has been extended by one phase length to give an opportunity to replace the player. Remember to finalize your orders if you don't want to wait, so the game isn't held up unnecessarily! |

If everyone votes to Draw this game, we will start another one. Otherwise, we can play this one out even though half the players are gone. |
