Autumn, 2: Okay, Greece, you're back. I'll honor the DMZ of Ep, Ill and Sarm, to help you get back in the game.
Autumn, 2: Carthage, if you want to get back in the game, I'll call off my armies for a turn or two. Let's get this game going!
Autumn, 2: ugh its hard to remember to check this every day
Autumn, 2: Carthage, my offer still stands. Let me know and I'll move out of Punic and Baleares.
Autumn, 2: Rome is a good guy :-)
Autumn, 2: that'd be swell. I'd hate to be a dead duck.
Autumn, 2: Okay, I will move out of Punic and Baleares. Taking over the world is so boring if everybody just surrenders !
Autumn, 2: Greece, Persia. How about if you get your build orders in and click <Ready> sometime this evening? Then we can get the turns to change at 9 or 10pm? I feel like the 7AM deadline is not working. What do you think?
Autumn, 2: yeah yeah! | |
Autumn, 2: Greece, can you click <Ready> this evening, 9 or 10pm? Thanks, that would be helpful.
Spring, 3: Everybody: Please click <Ready> when you're done with your moves so we can switch the turn start time to something better than 7 AM !
Spring, 3: I'm sorry. Many things going on. I only save as I'm trying to keep from missing another turn. Buys me more time that way. If I hit ready, the flipping thing advances and I don't even know it!
Spring, 3: Would be nice if it emailed us to let us know a new turn is ready.
Spring, 3: Well, the turn starts at 7:05AM and it's on 24 hour turns. So the turns start at 7:05AM everyday. You can do what I do: wake up at 5:50AM, ponder all the possible moves and predict what the other players will do. Then submit the ideal moves by 6:55AM to make sure I don't miss the deadline. |
|
Spring, 3: Dear Greece, thanks for honoring the DMZ. Watch your back - can't be trusting those Romans.
Autumn, 3: Mmm, need to retract last statement
Autumn, 3: Mmm, need to retract last statement
Autumn, 3: Persia, now's a chance to change the turn time. Choose your build, then click ready at 9 or 10 pm tonight. Thanks!
Autumn, 3: sorry guys. been sidelined and realized I haven't placed my orders. Not looking good for me unless I get some help. Otherwise, I will just have to turn my king over and concede...
Autumn, 3: Mmm, still willing to help if you take back those units from the DMZ
Spring, 4: Hang in there, Greece, I want to have a real game. I'll honor the Sar-Ill-Ep DMZ.
Spring, 4: Rome, I honored my side of the DMZ with Greece too ...
Spring, 4: Didn't know we had one Persia, sorry.
Spring, 4: Didn't know we had one Persia, sorry.
Spring, 4: D'oh! You you even acknowledged that you would honor it!
Spring, 4: D'oh! You you even acknowledged that you would honor it!
Spring, 4: rome, you are confusing me with your tanks moving north? Rome and Greece have the two biggest ancient empires, if we work together than same could be true here...
Spring, 4: ...especially since both egypt and carthage are no longer in the game, just you and I against the persian rugs!
Spring, 4: persia, don't remember ever agreeing to a dmz with you, I know i did with rome, but maybe I got confused as to whom I was chatting with, sorry.
Spring, 4: Greece, I'm just turning more territories pink with my armies moving around. Now I'll go all out to take over Carthage territories.
Autumn, 4: So, who wants to call it a draw???
Autumn, 4: Persia: we could keep going, winner-take-all. Do you think you can beat me?
Autumn, 4: Maybe ... maybe not!
Autumn, 4: sorry guys, I didn't quit, just forgot. I have been sick and even ended up in the hospital. I totally forgot about the game until this morning but couldn't get to it then.
Autumn, 4: Okay, thanks for the info. I want to have a good game. I'll stay out of your territory for a few turns so you can recover. Persia: will you let Greece recover?
Autumn, 4: But of course
Spring, 5: Greece: my fleet in the Ionian Sea is just doing some fishing. It won't cause you any trouble.
Spring, 5: Sure it won't!
Autumn, 5: Okay, Persia, this game is between you and me. We should eliminate Greece and Carthage. If we co-ordinate to get 17 sc's each, then we can draw. Otherwise, one of us will get to 18 scs and the other 16, and we'll get proportional points. I propose that we keep playing for 18, and we'll have a tiny amount of competition in the game. |
|
Autumn, 5: I accept, Mr M!
Spring, 6: Okay, John Persia!
Spring, 6: That's "Jon"
Spring, 6: Resistance is futile
I offer a draw to a worthy adversary.
In reality the only adversary!
Of all the players that put in moves, you're clearly the best player!
I'll vote for a draw, but I want to eliminate the other players first. If I vote draw right now, it'll be a 4-way draw!
Shouldn't be. According to the system they have left. If they were active, then they would also need to vote for a draw. So, if you vote an nothing happens you are right. If you wait til all are eliminated I think I get to 18 first and win.
Yep, you're right. I'll try voting for a draw right now.
50 each - nice! Well played and thanks for setting it up. Pity miserable gits dropped out so soon ... :( |
