06 Mar 14 UTC Spring, 1901: What are these "Votes" supposed to be for? Are we betting on things?
06 Mar 14 UTC Spring, 1901: We can vote to cancel the game and start over. Also, we can vote to "draw" and split the pot based on the number of cities you control. That's good for when its down to two players if you don't want to slug it out.
06 Mar 14 UTC Autumn, 1901: Better clarify for people the process of capturing cities and getting new units. Also, I believe you have to be adjacent to support a move or hold?
06 Mar 14 UTC Autumn, 1901: Check page 17 of this document http://www.wizards.com/avalonhill/rules/diplomacy.pdf

It explains gaining units
06 Mar 14 UTC Autumn, 1901: You gain control of a supply center if at the end of the FALL turn you have a unit in that space. Everyone that just took a supply space did so during the SPRING turn, so you have to end THIS turn in that space in order to control it. Once you have control, you can move out and it will be yours, but if you want it you have to stay. Also, if you move into a supply space THIS turn, it will become yours and you will be able to build a unit NEXT turn
06 Mar 14 UTC Autumn, 1901: Yeah you have to hold at the end of the year (after the Fall turn) to get the territory if it has a city. Non-city territories convert after any turn, but that's not worth much. Armies can be added after the end of the Fall turn. (sorry i forgot these details)
06 Mar 14 UTC Autumn, 1901: Thanks sirs
06 Mar 14 UTC Autumn, 1901: Thanks for the clarifications! So it looks like we all moved to a new spot. We have to hold in that spot for this turn to gain control? If we do that, we get the previous spot and the new spot? Provided that no-one is contesting the new spot?
But if we moved in the last turn, and we chose to move this turn also, we can move but we don't capture the territory.
06 Mar 14 UTC Autumn, 1901: C'mon midge.
06 Mar 14 UTC Autumn, 1901: Yes. If I understand what you're saying. The previous spot was always yours, and remains yours until someone takes it.
11 Mar 14 UTC Spring, 1905: Austriaaaa!!!! Where are you?!?!?!
11 Mar 14 UTC Spring, 1905: oh man, did i miss a move?? dammit, that sucks.
11 Mar 14 UTC Autumn, 1905: i guess thats what happens when you work a 12hr day and go home and crash
13 Mar 14 UTC Spring, 1906: On the cusp of victory and it's snatched out from under me. Damn.
15 Mar 14 UTC Autumn, 1906: Can someone explain the mechanics of why I didn't take Holland last round? I had one troop move to Holland and two troops support move there. As far as I can tell, Holland didn't have any support holds. So why didn't I take it over?
15 Mar 14 UTC Autumn, 1906: I attacked Belgium to Ruhr which forced that unit to switch from Support move to Hold, and I did the same for London to North Sea. So I cancelled both your support units by attacking them and forcing them to hold
15 Mar 14 UTC Autumn, 1906: I attacked Marseilles to Burgundy which forced it to switch to hold instead of attacking Belgium, which would have prevented Belgium from attacking Ruhr.
15 Mar 14 UTC Autumn, 1906: This speech sums up how I feel about this game right now:

15 Mar 14 UTC Autumn, 1906: we need humanity! we need kindness!
15 Mar 14 UTC Autumn, 1906: It's a giant cluster cuss in the north. Too many X's for me to see what actually happened.
16 Mar 14 UTC Spring, 1907: Am I winning yet?
16 Mar 14 UTC Spring, 1907: I mean, you still have Syria. So that's a win in my book
16 Mar 14 UTC Spring, 1907: stressful game!
17 Mar 14 UTC Spring, 1908: This turn, my plan is to bounce moves with everyone....at all territories....again.....
17 Mar 14 UTC Spring, 1908: I feel like i'm fighting ghosts because everytime I make a plan, I see all the ways you guys could attack it and I feel sure you will. Its like you're everywhere.
23 Mar 14 UTC Spring, 1910: Shooot. Missed a turn. I thought i had 18hrs per phase...crappy...
23 Mar 14 UTC Spring, 1910: Yikes, that definitely wasn't a turn you wanted to miss either
25 Mar 14 UTC Autumn, 1910: This took a turn for the very bad...
25 Mar 14 UTC Autumn, 1910: The Second Reich is falling!
27 Mar 14 UTC Autumn, 1911: Ladies and gentlemen, it has been an honor and a pleasure. It is time I bid thee farewell. Now, I shall bow out.
27 Mar 14 UTC Autumn, 1911: Auf Wiedersehen mein freund
