03 Feb 14 UTC Autumn, 2005: What if Texas is a traitor though?
03 Feb 14 UTC Autumn, 2005: i don't think he is
03 Feb 14 UTC Autumn, 2005: that would be interesting to know though. what happens if the king does indeed solo with traitors and/or rebels left alive?
03 Feb 14 UTC Autumn, 2005: I win the game of diplomacy, but no-one wins the variant (I believe).
04 Feb 14 UTC Autumn, 2005: i'm not sure...
05 Feb 14 UTC Spring, 2006: Sorry about the CD. I could have asked for a pause, but I was screwed as it was and didn't want to bother. I was, by the way, indeed a rebel.
05 Feb 14 UTC Spring, 2006: Ok, thank you.
05 Feb 14 UTC Spring, 2006: So I believe that we have the king, 3 knights, 1 rebel and 2 traitors remaining?
05 Feb 14 UTC Spring, 2006: that sounds correct... so after the last rebel, being california, is taken out, what will we do?
05 Feb 14 UTC Spring, 2006: Then the traitors will stab, I assume.
Traitors, if you want Californian aid, I'm open for negotiations. Willing to sacrifice national honor and security to bring down the King and their allies
05 Feb 14 UTC Spring, 2006: We hope we've worked out who the traitors are so that we don't eliminate knights, I think.
07 Feb 14 UTC Autumn, 2006: Have we? I don't know that we have.
07 Feb 14 UTC Autumn, 2006: Like I said, it's hope.
11 Feb 14 UTC Autumn, 2008: You know, Heartland, continually offering me SCs and then blocking me is getting kind of annoying.
11 Feb 14 UTC Autumn, 2008: I can see why. At this point we're just traitor hunting - who do you believe are the traitors?
17 Feb 14 UTC Autumn, 2010: The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. Good luck fellow knights!
17 Feb 14 UTC Autumn, 2010: So... If all the knights are eliminated, what happens then? E king cannot defeat the traitors because they would have to solo...
17 Feb 14 UTC Autumn, 2010: Stalemate?
17 Feb 14 UTC Autumn, 2010: As long as at least one knight survives, a two way draw between the king and that knight would be sufficient. I don't know what would happen if no knights survived.
17 Feb 14 UTC Autumn, 2010: If no knights survived, it would literally becomes a game of diplomacy as to who would solo first, which I'm guessing could end in a stalemate. But if the traitors are all killed, then the king and knights win :)
17 Feb 14 UTC Autumn, 2010: Well, I'll just have to make sure that I'm the biggest then from all the murdering :)
17 Feb 14 UTC Autumn, 2010: well... can the king win in that situation by soloing, or do they need to kill the traitors which is impossible?
18 Feb 14 UTC Autumn, 2010: I am defeated. I was a knight.
02 Mar 14 UTC Autumn, 2014: So was Peru a traitor?
03 Mar 14 UTC Autumn, 2015: Such an eventful turn.
03 Mar 14 UTC Autumn, 2015: so who was peru? and what about new york? i'll message ccga4.
03 Mar 14 UTC Autumn, 2015: I was a knight. You can wait for him to confirm if you want
03 Mar 14 UTC I think I shall concede there :) there's no way I can get in any position without giving away that I am traitor, and then mendax, being the all powerful king he is, has way to many numbers for me to hold him off. Peru was the other traitor, making Mexico a faithful knight. :) that was a whole lot of fun :) I tried to convince you NY and BC were traitors so I could get enough SCs to overthrow you, but NY was smart enough to hold me off and let the king take them :) very well played :)
03 Mar 14 UTC i was traitor, ny was knight. i can confirm this.so how is this going to work? texas would need to choose who to kill, while he only has a 50% accuracy rate. then, whichever one he chooses, he needs to get the other person to defeat them as he would solo otherwise. then, if that person is the traitor, as the king can't solo, and he can easily stab the king, he wins. just throwing out my analysis. good luck everyone, i hope you make the right choice texas... i would reveal roles, but that would ruin the fun, and the only person who would believe me is the other traitor.
03 Mar 14 UTC Not sure how to end the game though :) I'm willing to let you steam roll me until you see me eternally squished haha :)
03 Mar 14 UTC That wouldve ruined the game if the king had to help either myself or Mexico kill the other. I'm much happier to concede and call it GG :)
03 Mar 14 UTC heartland... y???????? he would have had to choose between mexico and you, and you likely would have been chosen. the position would have come while destroying mexico.
03 Mar 14 UTC i can confirm the part about me being a knight :)

okay, heartland, so you either hand him your scs while i make sure he doesn't solo, or you cd and we draw then. or our dear king is so grateful that he lets you join the draw :)

what i don't get is why you revealed your role. i mean, you would have had at least a tiny chance of convincing texas that i am the traitor.
03 Mar 14 UTC i know!!! if he was able to he woudl have been able to win. if not, he probably could have made one of you 2 solo.
03 Mar 14 UTC You see, I forgot about him not being to solo, which, by the way, shouldn't be a on issue. If the king wins, that should be it. But anyway. I was thinking of trying to convince him, but that wouldve only made him stronger, and harder to kill. Like I said, I forgot about the over certain amount of SCs winning thing, but I think it's only fair for him to be declared the winner :) you may not agree with me, but I think it's the right way to end this game
03 Mar 14 UTC Yes, but as soon as I moved into a position to attack him, he would know, hence, my cover is blown. I couldn't have defended against him without fleets in the ocean, or without a larger SC count. It would've been slow painful death. This is better, I think :)
03 Mar 14 UTC whatever you say :)
03 Mar 14 UTC Doesn't really matter what I say, it's out there now haha :) I hope my diplomacy skills were good enough to see me as a good player, and I would love to play again in the future, if you guys want to start up another game? :)
03 Mar 14 UTC What's even funnier, I thought there was only 2 knights, and so when it got to end game, I was like, holy crap, Mexico is doing a great job of convincing the king he is a knight not a rebel! Turns out, you were one! :P
03 Mar 14 UTC I was planning to move on HL next, as you can probably tell from the fact I'm lined up on that border rather than the Mexico one. However, it was well played, I will give you that for sure.

If we acknowledge that the king + rebels win the variant, then I'm happy to give a 3-way draw.
03 Mar 14 UTC i am completely okay with that, king + knights though :)
03 Mar 14 UTC haha lackbeard, now that you're included in the draw telling us that you're a traitor was a really good idea point-wise ;)
03 Mar 14 UTC Sorry, yes, of course.

I hadn't considered the points situation, but since it's not really just diplomacy I don't feel as motivated to cut the draw as a would otherwise.
03 Mar 14 UTC i'm getting tired of these games, so am not going to start another one. you guys can if you want though, and i could probably assign roles.
03 Mar 14 UTC I think it would be best to wait until the Modern game ends.
03 Mar 14 UTC Dang Mexico, i was hoping the rebs could still pull off a conceded victory, even if by typo :/
03 Mar 14 UTC yeah, i was just joking about the points thing.
03 Mar 14 UTC no victory for the rebels!
04 Mar 14 UTC just a quick question, mendax: why (or when) did you think the traitor is him and not me?
04 Mar 14 UTC Good question kasimax! I would love to know that to :) lol
