28 Nov 13 UTC Spring, 1905: He won't CD until autumn.

If you guys REALLY want, you can let him stay in CD... I won't complain...

(I'll pause if necessary but if we can get a replacement that's preferable.)
28 Nov 13 UTC Spring, 1905: (TheMinisterOfWar): Hey all, with almost all players in favor of preventing the CD, I decided to pause and email trip. It would be a shame to mess up an otherwise good game by a CD at this point. If trip is indeed out we may be able to find a replacement.
30 Nov 13 UTC Spring, 1905: 11 days since his last login...
30 Nov 13 UTC Spring, 1905: 2 days since mod pause - I ll ask the mods tomorrow if they heared back from him. and I think if they didnt, then we need to decide what we do: draw, cancel, or look for replacement.
My preference (if Trip doesnt come back) would be a replacement, but I ll agree to whatever option gets the most votes
30 Nov 13 UTC Spring, 1905: I think replacement would be fine, though if we get one I'd ask that the current retreat phase time be reset (to give us all some extra time for press with the new player).
30 Nov 13 UTC Spring, 1905: Don't reset the retreat phase, just use the builds. He has no orders for either.
01 Dec 13 UTC Spring, 1905: (TheMinisterOfWar): Hey all, no reply from Trip so I've removed him from the game. If you want to recruit somebody yourself now is the time. Rolling back the phase won't really achieve anything, I suggest you just all press unpause and will allow the replacement to unpause to kickstart the game again when he's ready. Good luck!
02 Dec 13 UTC Spring, 1905: Sooo ... who wikk we take in for trip?
First come first serve?
02 Dec 13 UTC Spring, 1905: MEEEEE PLEASE MEEEEE

It's not fair that my near-conqueror gets to walk out and someone undeserving gets to finish the job :(
02 Dec 13 UTC Spring, 1905: Best solution would have been trip continuing to play ...
03 Dec 13 UTC Spring, 1905: I think rather than first-come, first-served, we should pull in the best interested player. The best players (points-wise; I haven't had a chance to look at GR) who have expressed interest are ccga4, dyager_nh, bas, and peterwiggin (who expressed interest via PM). ccga4 has 6 resigns so he's out in my book.

Of those 3, peterwiggins was the earliest to chime in (6-7 hours before the others) so he'd get my vote. Thoughts?
03 Dec 13 UTC Spring, 1905: That's peterwiggin (with no 's' at the end). Apologies.
03 Dec 13 UTC Spring, 1905: My vote would be Tbag or Stefano, since they where the first ones to express interest in the forum, and both have no resigns in their profile
03 Dec 13 UTC Spring, 1905: Peter PMed at the same time as they posted and is by all accounts a better player.
03 Dec 13 UTC Spring, 1905: I know my input might be worthless as I've been eliminated, but I've played with PeterWiggin before and he's both a reliable and communicative player.

Didn't trip organize this game? I wonder what happened...
03 Dec 13 UTC Spring, 1905: "Didn't trip organize this game? I wonder what happened..." mee too

All I want is a player thet won t nmr or cd - for the rest it is not important to me who it will be
03 Dec 13 UTC Spring, 1905: Me too
03 Dec 13 UTC Spring, 1905: Should we send the password to PeterWiggin then? Someone else will need to do it. I don't remember what it was.
03 Dec 13 UTC Spring, 1905: The password is password
03 Dec 13 UTC Spring, 1905: I'll let him know.
04 Dec 13 UTC Spring, 1905: Thanks for letting me in guys.
04 Dec 13 UTC Spring, 1905: Thanks for salvaging our game. Just need unpause votes from two more and we can be on our way.
04 Dec 13 UTC Autumn, 1905: Welcome, new France!
04 Dec 13 UTC Autumn, 1905: Wait, Quebec has joined the game?
04 Dec 13 UTC Autumn, 1905: ..?
04 Dec 13 UTC Autumn, 1905: New France=Quebec
04 Dec 13 UTC Autumn, 1905: Oh.

I get it.

Funneh.
06 Dec 13 UTC Autumn, 1905: Starting to feel like Gunboat in here. Was it something I said?
06 Dec 13 UTC Autumn, 1905: What?
06 Dec 13 UTC Autumn, 1905: Just not hearing much in private press, that's all.
16 Dec 13 UTC Autumn, 1906: gg, Austria.
16 Dec 13 UTC Autumn, 1906: And England too.
17 Dec 13 UTC Autumn, 1906: Good game to Austria and England.

To the nations still remaining: are we going to keep squabbling and let Germany solo or are we going to stop him? I need to know how to plan.
19 Dec 13 UTC Spring, 1907: Well, to be fair, Germany's not really in any better position to solo than Italy is. Preumably, they could work out a private arrangement where they stalemate France in the west, knock you out, and then it's a race to see who can get to Brest. Italy's advantages in having the Balkans and Anatolia closer to his position are equaled by Germany's abilities to wrest England away from France and then use that to supply the SCs he needs to keep extending out.
20 Dec 13 UTC Spring, 1907: Disagree.
20 Dec 13 UTC Spring, 1907: Unsurprising.

But hey, if anyone wants to bounce ideas off of me, I'll happily listen. A four way draw just seems a little boring.
20 Dec 13 UTC Spring, 1907: Especially when one of the four is overextended, could easily lose an army in spring, and be knocked into a fatal feedback loop by the end of the year.
20 Dec 13 UTC Spring, 1907: Can't say I disagree with Bob. There's a lot left to do.
21 Dec 13 UTC Spring, 1907: I like my solo chances, if everybody would just donate 2 or 3 centers to the cause first.
23 Dec 13 UTC Spring, 1907: Sorry for the delay in submitting my disband. Was trying to catch up on some press. Will submit my orders in a few hours.
29 Dec 13 UTC Autumn, 1907: 45 min and Germany hasn't put any orders. I hope he'll be in time.
30 Dec 13 UTC Spring, 1908: Oh sure, Italy or France in Munich is a brilliant idea. You guys are fighting the wrong person.
30 Dec 13 UTC Spring, 1908: It's kind of amusing from the remove of the grave.
30 Dec 13 UTC Spring, 1908: How you've all been convinced that Germany is even a remote solo threat is beyond me, but it's laughable.
30 Dec 13 UTC Spring, 1908: Ok, I m ready. Let s do this!
30 Dec 13 UTC Spring, 1908: ... sorry - wrong game & wrong window ...
31 Dec 13 UTC Spring, 1908: Almost as laughable as a defeated nation trolling the global chat...

(Sorry. Couldn't help myself. Carry on.)
04 Jan 14 UTC Thanks for the game everyone. I ll agree to the draw.
I hope we ll meet again ... in a game that will not end in a 4way ;-)
