1 excused missed turn
Game won by shigzeo (1080 D)
28 Sep 13 UTC Autumn, 1: You can set your moves ins Spring and in Fall term.
Like "The army at Cartage move to Mauretania" and don't forget to hit ready if you think you're ready with setting your moves
28 Sep 13 UTC Autumn, 1: In the Global chat everyone can read your Messages. If you want to talk with just one player you need to send your message directly to Greece, Rome....
28 Sep 13 UTC Autumn, 1: good news everyone: Carthage has entered. He has already begun to ask questions.

Remember: spring and fall are movement turns.
they are followed each by a retreat phase. If you are attacked by a superior force, you must retreat or disband. Sometimes you will have only the option to disband. Effectively, your pieces was killed.
28 Sep 13 UTC Autumn, 1: Let the master of the game explain it... =)
29 Sep 13 UTC Spring, 2: Well, I'm very happy to have Alex in this game. Very happy. I tried for months to convince him to play and now, two years later, he has graced us with his presence.

Remember, this game is about learning tactics, so please ask questions here!
29 Sep 13 UTC Spring, 2: Update for Spring 2: I will give Alex (carthage) a break for this full year as he is inheriting an abandoned province. I hope that Egypt can do the same. Let him figure things out.
29 Sep 13 UTC Autumn, 2: What's happened to alex?
30 Sep 13 UTC Autumn, 2: Oh alex...
01 Oct 13 UTC Autumn, 2: Question: why can you only build fleets/armies on specific supply centers? Not all of my supply centers are allowed to be built on at the moment.
01 Oct 13 UTC Autumn, 2: This map only allows building as per the original diplomacy rules, i.e., in home supply centres. that means if you originally had Ravenna, Roma, and Neapoli, you can only ever build in those places.

This is rather more realistic as no newly annexed territory would put an army up for a conqueror.
01 Oct 13 UTC Spring, 3: Got it. Thanks.
02 Oct 13 UTC Autumn, 3: No sun for Ramses in this second wave of plagues in Egypt.
04 Oct 13 UTC Spring, 4: oh no, i missed turnes. manno.
05 Oct 13 UTC Spring, 4: Alex, you totally missed turns. Look at the top, it shows how long turns last: 1 days. You have to log in once a day to follow the game.
05 Oct 13 UTC Spring, 4: hey egypt: think u need help!
05 Oct 13 UTC Spring, 4: Alex you're wrong! You Need to kill Rome!
05 Oct 13 UTC Spring, 4: Rome, yes, kill rome!
05 Oct 13 UTC Spring, 4: Wait, what?
06 Oct 13 UTC Autumn, 4: but why do u kill me, than?
lets go for rome
06 Oct 13 UTC Spring, 5: Alex, you came a bit too late and didn't make any moves. It bohover Stephen att kill Alex.
07 Oct 13 UTC Spring, 5: oh man. its over.
07 Oct 13 UTC Spring, 5: Dude, you haven't even moved! It is over, yes.
08 Oct 13 UTC Autumn, 5: Ah man. I was in first for a few brief, glorious moments. Now the tides have turned.
10 Oct 13 UTC Spring, 6: You made a glorious attack. It's not over. At all. The tides are going in and coming out all the time.
14 Oct 13 UTC Spring, 7: hey guys, it was my first try. was not really fun. :) but I defeat you the next time.
14 Oct 13 UTC Spring, 7: Alex, to have fun you have to actually play!
15 Oct 13 UTC Autumn, 7: I actually missed a turn!
16 Oct 13 UTC Autumn, 7: I may be pretty inconstant in the following week(s). We have my sister's wedding coming up shortly and I've got a boat load of studying to do for midterms. I'll try and make it as much as I can, but feel free to decimate me.
18 Oct 13 UTC Spring, 8: Never!
18 Oct 13 UTC Spring, 8: Josh, if you want, we can pause the game till things calm down.
19 Oct 13 UTC Spring, 8: I think I'll be fine. :) So far I've been able to make it and I'm done with exams for a bit. But I will have to be done by November 1, but I suspect the game will be done by then.
19 Oct 13 UTC Autumn, 8: okay guys, how would you like to play a backstab? I suggest this: I will make moves as to hold or support your moves but you find a way to come 'round me and backstab. I will then re-route my forces to defend myself. Your goal:

take me down.

Persia's goal, to take advantage of your backstab.
21 Oct 13 UTC Autumn, 8: Because there is no feedback from you guys, I have initiated a backstab on Egypt. I may expand it.
21 Oct 13 UTC Autumn, 8: This would be a typical late game single-victory pump. It can be stopped, but that would entail eliminating one player. Likely Persia will come back. Who knows. How will you play it?
23 Oct 13 UTC Spring, 9: Good work gentlemen.
23 Oct 13 UTC Spring, 9: I will pull my armies out of your lands this turn if you want me to. If you want, I could move down to Marmarica and support Persia out of your lands. I got a nice disband this turn and you are in dire straits.
23 Oct 13 UTC Spring, 9: Dire Straits were an amazing rock band... Brothers in Arms... Rome and Egypt?
23 Oct 13 UTC Spring, 9: Dire Straits were cool. So were Interpol. Know them?
23 Oct 13 UTC Spring, 9: I've been in concert at Mark Knopfler for a few times now. He's great as well
Just know Interpol as the police... (And some of theses policemen play as well Diplomacy. Got to know one in a game earlier this year =)
23 Oct 13 UTC Spring, 9: You really do get around Armin. Well, this game will pan out interestingly enough I'm sure.
27 Oct 13 UTC Autumn, 10: "Death smiles at us all, all a man can do is smile back"... - Greece will die with a smile on his face
28 Oct 13 UTC Autumn, 10: Armin, you have been a good sport in this map. I think that Egypt and Persia will be well ready for their next big game. Remember, this game is just to explore what's possible in Dip. This map you can only build at home. A piece can retreat to any EMPTY territory that wasn't vacated in the same turn. Persia found that out this turn.
29 Oct 13 UTC Autumn, 11: Thanks, i know. =) Was a nice game! And i think both of our newbies are ready for another big game.... When do you set up one? Maybe an North America game or a world map?
29 Oct 13 UTC Autumn, 11: world means 17 dedicated players. If we can nab 17 dedicated players, let's do it. If not, 10 europe is good.
29 Oct 13 UTC Autumn, 11: American map would be also 10 Player?!? Why not that?
29 Oct 13 UTC Autumn, 11: We could try that, too. I know that Josh needs a bit of a break. I've been thinking of starting it up second week of November. I'll put a 7 day delay on the start so we can get our pants on, and have a big pool again, so the winner goes home with a wad of dosh and losers still get their 100 back.
30 Oct 13 UTC Autumn, 11: Wow, all of my s are online the same time ;)
01 Nov 13 UTC What?! I thought that you needed more supply centers to win.

Well, good game anyway.
01 Nov 13 UTC 18 for this map. 33 for Europe 2. 18 for Europe 1. 44 for world.
02 Nov 13 UTC Well, if everyone's game, let's play another!
