29 Nov 13 UTC Spring, 1904: No time frame was given. How is that "less than a week"? Had you said "less than a week", I would have granted it fine.
01 Dec 13 UTC Spring, 1904: I'm back. Thanks for the pause.
02 Dec 13 UTC Spring, 1904: Hi all. Thanks for the pause. I'm good to go now.
06 Dec 13 UTC Autumn, 1904: Everything alright Germany?
07 Dec 13 UTC Autumn, 1904: This wait for orders thing is ridiculous. All three of my games are in this weird pseudo-pause state right now.
07 Dec 13 UTC Autumn, 1904: Sigh.
07 Dec 13 UTC Autumn, 1904: Better than an NMR though
08 Dec 13 UTC Autumn, 1904: All is good, just a busy weekend I did not foresee.
08 Dec 13 UTC Autumn, 1904: gg russia
08 Dec 13 UTC Autumn, 1904: It was fun, even if Turkey didn't see his own obvious downfall foreshadowed in mine.
08 Dec 13 UTC Autumn, 1904: Not I have readied ip so it isn't me slowing down the game.
14 Dec 13 UTC Spring, 1905: Jesus! Somebody boot Germany already. This is twice in a row!
18 Dec 13 UTC Autumn, 1905: Hi all, I'm traveling today so won't be able to send messages for the next 24 hours or so. I don't need a pause or anything like that, just trying to let everyone know.
23 Dec 13 UTC Spring, 1906: I don't know how y'all feel, but I would very much like a pause over the holidays just so I don't have yet another thing to think about in such a hectic time.
23 Dec 13 UTC Spring, 1906: I will second that opinion
24 Dec 13 UTC Spring, 1906: There's not really a need for a full pause, right? Since this is a wait-for-orders game? We can all enter orders and whenever we're all back, it will go.
28 Dec 13 UTC Spring, 1906: When does everyone figure we can start this back up?
30 Dec 13 UTC Spring, 1906: Good God people. I'm eliminated and this is just sitting at the top of my game's list getting in the way of seeing my real games cause you all can't get on with the game? The holidays are over. Play already. Yeesh!
30 Dec 13 UTC Spring, 1906: Just waiting for Austria to get back and ready up I suppose.
03 Jan 14 UTC Autumn, 1906: You guys gonna be held up *again*? Yeesh! Let me take over one of those positions and I guarantee that position will *never* have this trouble again. O_o
03 Jan 14 UTC Autumn, 1906: Methinks Italy is enjoying the wine too much
11 Jan 14 UTC Autumn, 1907: Hello all,

I am sorry to do this, but I will be disabling the wait-for-orders mode in this game and all remaining games in the Masters. This feature has unfortunately been systematically abused in most every game, and by more than a few players. It was implemented with the best intentions - to prevent NMR's - but it seems to have created delays, arguments and metagaming problems that impact the game far more than any NMR would.

If a player appears to be about to miss a phase, please email webdipmod@gmail.com asking for an emergency pause. I will not be able to monitor all games closely, so I trust everyone's honor as a player to help me in this manner.

Finally, I am deeply sorry for any problems caused in this tournament due to the wait-for-orders mode. The purpose of this tournament is to have fun, after all (well, and win) and anything that takes away from that I count as a poor reflection on the tournament, and thus myself.

If you have any concerns, please feel free to email or PM me.
12 Jan 14 UTC Autumn, 1907: Good call. That is such an abused feature.
16 Jan 14 UTC Spring, 1908: Italy :(
16 Jan 14 UTC Spring, 1908: :-( Indeed. I'm sorry all. My moves would have been Rome to Naples, Tuscany to Rome, Constantinople convoyed to Smyrna by Aegean Sea, for what it's worth.
16 Jan 14 UTC Spring, 1908: Also FWIW, my computer crashed earlier today. It was foolish of me to not have orders entered before then, though.
16 Jan 14 UTC Spring, 1908: Emails to the mods explaining so could have garnered a pause
16 Jan 14 UTC Spring, 1908: Crashed = no emailing for me. :-)
16 Jan 14 UTC Spring, 1908: Ah.
16 Jan 14 UTC Spring, 1908: It looks like your moves would not have had any different results, so no harm done. :)
16 Jan 14 UTC Spring, 1908: Eh, that's debatable.
21 Feb 14 UTC Spring, 1912: I'm an idiot.
21 Feb 14 UTC Spring, 1912: Italy, you were supposed to let my fleet get dislodged :(
28 Feb 14 UTC Autumn, 1912: It all worked out.
04 Mar 14 UTC Autumn, 1913: I apologize for the delay, a very crazy weekend with unexpected power issues... I don't have the time now on mobile to message you guys, I will as soon as I am able to.
05 Mar 14 UTC Autumn, 1913: Y'all are crazy
12 Mar 14 UTC Hi all, I'm turning in my thesis tomorrow and then leaving for Costa Rica for spring break until a week from Friday. Can I have a pause until then please?
12 Mar 14 UTC Sounds good to me, Italy
25 Mar 14 UTC thanks for waiting! I'm ready to unpause!
26 Mar 14 UTC It's my turn for spring break, and I will be gone all next week. Can we just keep this pause going until I get back?
26 Mar 14 UTC I suppose we could just draw :)
06 Apr 14 UTC Hey, when are we good to start up?
07 Apr 14 UTC I am good whenever.
07 Apr 14 UTC I think I'm ready to draw, unless someone expresses interest (privately) that they want to continue.
07 Apr 14 UTC All of our draw votes are up.
07 Apr 14 UTC ^See above
08 Apr 14 UTC If Austria draws, I don't think it haw to unpause to process that, but this would be a good test.
08 Apr 14 UTC You don't have to unpause to process it.
08 Apr 14 UTC Didn't think so, but had never been involved in one to know for certain.
08 Apr 14 UTC Good game everyone.
