Autumn, 1999: Turkey couldn't crow. Only the Pan can do that.
Autumn, 1999: Boom what a turn.
Spring, 2000: Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
Spring, 2000: Yes, happy Turkey DAY! (for us just pumpkin pie)
Spring, 2000: In Korea, at GEM, I watched them eat pumpkin pie in a cup with chopsticks. I am thankful for a fork and plate this year. |
|
Spring, 2000: And finally cooler weather here in Tokyo.
Spring, 2000: Silly Canadians, Thanksgiving is next month.
Spring, 2000: Yes the big one is next month. We spend a few short hours with a prototype to make sure nothing gets fouled up.
Spring, 2000: fowled* | |
Spring, 2000: Haha, good one. I guess that turkey day does get 'fowled' up. We make sure turkey day isn't fouled up so that the americans can fowl up in peace.
Spring, 2000: And is france asking for a draw? Cute.
Autumn, 2000: There is no shame in drawing... I (as France) would normally run and hide at the sight of the onslaught of Russians, but I'm a bit surrounded at the moment... And the Spaniards keep pushing me out in front of them to create a buffer... Oh well, I guess I better start brushing up on my Pyccku...
Autumn, 2000: Godspeed to the afterlife.
Autumn, 2000: Russian is the language of Heaven.
Autumn, 2000: Slava Bohu!
Autumn, 2000: Ouch. ㅠㅠ | |
Autumn, 2000: As long as Italy is on her deathbed, I can die a happy Frenchman.
Autumn, 2000: Ha ha!! Rest in peace France!! :)
Autumn, 2000: Amazing, the game is about to end! Russia will win in 6 more supply centres. I've not played one of these with a solo winner yet. Congrats are probably in order. |
|
Autumn, 2000: Well, let's clean the map from pink and bright green and then vote for Draw?!
Autumn, 2000: Haha, I'm sure Russia will push for the victory.
Autumn, 2001: Ahhh!! I accidentally hit the button and it made me retreat to Bosnia. NOOOO!! ㅠㅠ
Autumn, 2001: Aww, that sucks when that happens!
Autumn, 2001: I hear good things are happening in Bosnia, though.
Autumn, 2001: What happened to England?
Autumn, 2001: Russia happened to England.
Autumn, 2001: Badda boom badda bing
Autumn, 2001: Is that the sound of the egyptian tanks and fleets?
Autumn, 2001: Haha, it's the sound of a soon-comig Russian victory I'm sure.
Autumn, 2001: Italy and Ukraine are hanging in there. Russia needs only one more SC to win. Well fought everyone.
Autumn, 2001: I think the Polish player unbalanced the map, slightly. They were an extra buffer I didn't have to worry about.
Autumn, 2001: Ukraine never sent me a message saying how angry she was...
Autumn, 2001: Good news! The Italians are finally leaving Bosnia. O.o (Or maybe, I should have saved that as my final resting place. Ha ha.)
Autumn, 2001: It was an interesting game. I thought England had me up in Norway. Never thought Spain would bounce back after England kept snatching SC's from him. Also France looked to be on a murderous rampage but was quickly stunted. |
|
Autumn, 2001: Poland was a problem. Had Poland been around, Germany probably would have been able to grab a stronger portion of the map. That isn't to say that Russia hasn't played well. I think Spain is the most surprising part of the map. Wow. But glad to have this game done. Look forward to another game. Anyone else looking to join another 10 player game? If we get enough people interested eventually, I'd like to do a global map. But that one is dangerous if we have quitters. Poland was a problem this map. |
|
Autumn, 2001: I'd be up for another game. I might have an extra player in mind too.
Spring, 2002: I was surprised by myself. Didn't think i'll be able to take so many SCs! Was a great game. Don't think we gather 17 Players for a global map, at least not if we play a "private game" where we almost know each other. Maybe we can play the "Fall of the American Empire" http://webdiplomacy.net/variants.php#Empire4 |
|
Spring, 2002: I think Aflred and James (Holsby) may join the next one. It would be great if we got 10 players that could stay in the entire game. This was good but we lost two too quickly out of the gate.
Spring, 2002: I have another friend who wants in. He's cool and won't quit.
Spring, 2002: I'm down for global or another map. Don't mind!
Spring, 2002: Great. When this one is over I'll begin setting another one up.
Spring, 2002: I'm just disappointed that you Italy is still in this... She'll get what she deserves next game I guess... Or she'll turn everyone against me if I pick on her... Guess I'll have to bide my time...
Spring, 2002: Is that France speaking up? Where did France go?
Spring, 2002: Nathan, if we were in a real war, on the same side, would you trust me with your life?
Spring, 2002: A war where each of us start on opposing sides? No. A war where we start on the same side? Let me think about it.
Spring, 2002: France holds a grudge. Be careful y'all.
Spring, 2002: He's already threatening me for the next game. That's just bad strategy.
Spring, 2002: All's quiet on the Western front.
And the game is about to end!
Bring on global domination! |
