08 Jul 13 UTC Spring, 1901: It's so nice to live in a peaceful world.

Who's hosting the next World Cup?
09 Jul 13 UTC Autumn, 1901: Wait, I don't get this. Why did I not get Spain? Do I have to wait a turn there?... Why?
09 Jul 13 UTC Autumn, 1901: To utilize a supply center you need to have it controlled at the end of Autumn.
09 Jul 13 UTC Autumn, 1901: Ah, so supply centers only get captured (controlled) if a unit is on them at the end of Autumn?
09 Jul 13 UTC Autumn, 1901: Correct.
09 Jul 13 UTC Autumn, 1901: I see, thank you! I played a whole game (and won) without noticing that. I probably only moved at the end of Autumn the entire game...
15 Jul 13 UTC Autumn, 1904: If anybody wants a record of the game when we're done, just shout. I'm recording it on jDip.
21 Jul 13 UTC Spring, 1907: Good game everybody!
21 Jul 13 UTC Spring, 1907: GG Germany! I'm impressed you have such a good attitude after getting completely stormed by everyone right from the beginning. Even me, at one point. Hope you have better circumstances in the future! :)
21 Jul 13 UTC Spring, 1907: sorry france, that could not have sounded more condescending. i feel for ya Germany, im right there with you, good game.
22 Jul 13 UTC Autumn, 1907: Wait, what, I was condescending? Real question. Didn't mean to. I know I got teamworked by a couple of countries on this same map, and I got pretty upset by the lack of chances to get out of it. I really was positively impressed by Emily1234's much better attitude than mine.
23 Jul 13 UTC Spring, 1908: See, this is what I mean... The way you can't trust anyone in this game is really not a fun aspect. What *would* have been fun is if England, Italy and France fought together against the threat of the great Russo-Turkish alliance. It would have made a nice clean us-vs-them plotline. Instead, England decides to backstab for a comfy third place. He lies to my face only just before doing that, invoking out-of-game reasons to explain hints of this betrayal. Asking for my understanding. People are playing that way for a chance at *third place* here.

I know I'm taking things a little seriously, but that's kinda sickening to me.

In other news, Russia, Turkey: all I care about is that England loses. You've won. I am asking you to wait a turn or two while, while I reverse as much of England's gain as I can. Waiting a turn or two is in your interest, as it will insure that England will not be able to claim any share of the pie at the end. There will be no chance for me to fight back, as I will leave no defenses at your front line. You can come and clean up then.
24 Jul 13 UTC Spring, 1908: I think you need to play a few more than 5 games to see that this is fairly common.
24 Jul 13 UTC Spring, 1908: I have seen betrayals a few times before, but those were intelligent and understandable. This is not, because:

a) Turkey and Russia have no obligation to spare you.

b) You assume that if you attack a former friend they will fight everyone equally.

I don't have time to explain to you that this is a bad strategy through a), I will show you through b).
24 Jul 13 UTC Spring, 1908: The great Ottoman and Russian Empires offered you friendship many years ago my French friend, but you turned it down to support Italy. Our English comrade has remained true to his word and we seen no reason to stand back and allow you to betray him.
03 Aug 13 UTC Sorry Russia. It's not personal, I really enjoyed playing with you. <3
