08 Jul 09 UTC Spring, 1905: Hey, don;t look at me, I voted for your pause. I agree with your complaint though. It's not polite to refuse a pause unless you have a reason.
08 Jul 09 UTC Spring, 1905: Can the people who did not vote to pause be kind enough to explain why they didn't vote?
08 Jul 09 UTC Spring, 1905: I think it is totally unfair to continue this game. What you guys have done by refusing to pause is basically metagaming. Italy, you got a pause when you needed it, but you won't give Russia one when he needs one? That's very unsporting behaviour.
08 Jul 09 UTC Spring, 1905: You guys who refused the pause will be glad to know that many of your fellow players consider your actions, to quote one person, "dickish":

08 Jul 09 UTC Spring, 1905: @England: Ummm, it's too late now - Russia, the guy who wanted a pause, is back. How did you fail to notice he was asking for a pause?
08 Jul 09 UTC Spring, 1905: I came in this game late, it was my first game on this site, and i've had two SCs the entire time. I'm not exactly paying close attention to all of this.

08 Jul 09 UTC Spring, 1905: That's fair enough I guess, England. I can't really say the same for Italy and France though - especially Italy as he was granted a pause earlier in the game.
08 Jul 09 UTC Spring, 1905: I didn't even read the global thread. I log on on an iPod, and it's slow as s***. I apologize profusely, and will immediatly pause. Hopefully, we're all still interested in continuing?

08 Jul 09 UTC Spring, 1905: Finished reading Germany's post, again, sorry I'm checking this on an iPod... I didn't read the global thread. My checking of the game has been spotty, as you can see by my several missed moves... I apologize, but I did not intend to defraud Russia.
08 Jul 09 UTC Spring, 1905: ITALY: There is no longer any need for a pause. The Russia player is back. The damage has been done. He has already missed his move. You voting for a pause _now_ is pointless.

08 Jul 09 UTC Spring, 1905: I am full of apologies. I have missed the global chat somehow, I never refuse a pause and this has really surprised me. I cannot say sorry enough times.

09 Jul 09 UTC Spring, 1905: On principle, I, at least, would like to decline the draw. As I stated in the forum thread about the pauses, when I asked for a pause, a full spring phase went by before it was granted. It seems to me that that is a normal amount of time to have one decided upon, as some players, myself included, never read the global threads.

That being said, I fail to see why we should draw now. Russia is still fully competent to defend herself, as is Germany. Germany, you even put orders in for the last move, so the pause or lack thereof didn't affect you at all. It would seem as though this pause issue is just being used to end the game early, which I disagree with immensely. I'd like to finish. If we're drawing the game for the spring phase sans pause, then why didn't we draw when I asked for a pause and it took a phase to get into effect?
09 Jul 09 UTC Spring, 1905: Italy, firstly although a phase did take place whilst you were requesting a pause, you still got your moves in that phase so you did not lose out.

You are wrong to say the lack of a turn did not affect me at all - I was counting on Russia's support to regain Munich from France. Because Russia was deprived of his turn, that didn't happen, so I certainly have been affected.
09 Jul 09 UTC Spring, 1905: I did not get my moves in that turn. Look back on the maps, I didn't. I'd like to continue, and I think this is still anyone's game.
09 Jul 09 UTC Spring, 1905: Which turn was it?
09 Jul 09 UTC Spring, 1905: Spring, 1904
09 Jul 09 UTC Spring, 1905: There is too much bad blood in the game now anyway. I don't want to continue.
09 Jul 09 UTC Spring, 1905: to be blunt, and I don't mean to be harsh... You could go into civil disorder.
09 Jul 09 UTC Spring, 1905: If you all don't agree to draw, I might do that. (Do I need to stop logging into the game to achieve that, or just NMR for two phases?)
09 Jul 09 UTC Spring, 1905: I think you just have to go NMR for two phases...

10 Jul 09 UTC Come on MrLimmer. We all just want to put this game to one side and move one. Will you vote for a draw? Everyone else has.
10 Jul 09 UTC *move on
10 Jul 09 UTC I find that your fermenting the negativity has produced a far worse situation than should have ever arisen. The fact that some members of this game are now contemplating leaving this site for good because of your inappropriate attitude, Jamie, is both unacceptable and despicable. I believe you owe them an apology.

For those that have come to me with concerns or the thought of leaving this site, I will say once and for all, I will not leave this site because of others. I hope we can all move on from this as adults should, with a serving of respect and decency. If this is too much to ask, then that depresses me, but I will not let it rule my decisions.

With that being said, I entertain the idea of drawing, but will continue to speak to those who have shared their concerns with me.

10 Jul 09 UTC GameMaster: Mrlimmer has voted for a draw.
Voted: KaiserAl32,WarM,Mrlimmer,Jamiet99uk,dyunk,burningpuppies101,Leif_Syverson Remaining: . The vote has passed, and will be acted on within 5 minutes.
10 Jul 09 UTC I very much appreciate you drawing, MrLimmer. I am sad that this game kind of broke down, and I certainly wouldn't want anyone to leave the site as a result of their experiences in this one game - in fact, that is why I suggested we all agree a draw, so that we could put this game behind us all, get our points back, and move on.

I would however be interested if you could explain what, exactly, I have done that you consider "despicable"?
11 Jul 09 UTC Well, my word choice may have been a bit strong, I was quite livid over the people discussing leaving. However, I do think that bringing this to the public forum before it was settled here privately was a foolish choice, as it only has spread the "bad blood" to a public scene. I feel as though all of our reputations have been tarnished in what clearly was just a mistake.
