18 Jul 09 UTC Autumn, 1910: In the sense of not drinking much or not being able to drink much? Then again, you're an Aussie, can't we rely on stereotypes anymore?
18 Jul 09 UTC Autumn, 1910: both, cant drink an awful lot and dont drink that often, but i do like a social drink
18 Jul 09 UTC Autumn, 1910: Ah, then you will be worth meeting one day. I drink but never to excess and like to drink what I like rather than just tanking up on alcohol.
18 Jul 09 UTC Autumn, 1910: I am boring. I gave up drinking in 86. However, the impression I get is that the rest of the world drinks more often than we do in the US, but perhaps not as much at a single sitting.
18 Jul 09 UTC Autumn, 1910: I don't know about that: my countrymen have a pretty poor reputation for binge-drinking and consuming cheap stuff. I prefer good wine and really do appreciate decent stuff, but I never let it get out of control and never ever drink and drive. Not even a sniff. But I do drive very fast, a habit and a bit f a naughty one.
18 Jul 09 UTC Autumn, 1910: Very fast? How fast is very fast? What do you drive?
18 Jul 09 UTC Autumn, 1910: i drink and drive a bicycle, shouldnt as its technically illegal and japanese cops are known for being sticklers for the rules.

i dont ride my bike all that fast
18 Jul 09 UTC Autumn, 1910: I only usually drive when I am travelling or back in the UK (HK traffic sucks and the transport system is ace). I hire a car from the airport and thrash that until I leave again. Usually, it is (an indulgence of mine) Mercedes Benz - and if possible, an E-Class. I am tall, my family are tall and they (E's) are safe. Speeds? Where possible, I cruise above 100 mph, and there are some long stretches where the cameras are all out (year after year) and I can easily do 120-130 on very good surfaces (M11 from Essex north, A11/A14 if Polar Bear is reading). So, fast but not stupid macho stuff through town centres, these are major link roads.
19 Jul 09 UTC Spring, 1911: Hey Flash, you don't have a lot of options here..... care to save us 17 hours' wait?
19 Jul 09 UTC Spring, 1911: Sorry, been out.
20 Jul 09 UTC Autumn, 1911: Now I'm completely out... Good luck.
