02 Jan 13 UTC Autumn, 1902: ! Notice to all players: England just messaged me that he is abandoning his position and leaving the game. Since it would not be fair, for me to have exclusive knowledge of this (I see this as information beyond the scope of the game), I am posting this news here publicly for all players to see. Furthermore, since many players may have already finalized orders for this Autumn 1902 diplomacy stage, I am not acting on this information until the next round, and further not until I see that England has officially "left" the game. I hope you all enjoyed the holidays and best wishes for the New Year!
02 Jan 13 UTC Autumn, 1902: Thanks for the info, Russia. Very fair move on your part. Happy New Year.
02 Jan 13 UTC Autumn, 1902: You are a good soul sir
02 Jan 13 UTC Autumn, 1902: If that was some kind of improper action or bad form I apologise, since I am new to diplomacy and do not understand the norms of this place.

Essentially, as I consider my position unsalvageable and Russia is the only 'ally' who has not explicitly betrayed me thus far, I wanted to give him my territories as a sort of reward for playing with integrity, and so considered such a move valid and justified.

In light of this information, I apologise and will continue to remain in the game, rather than hand over my territories to Russia.
02 Jan 13 UTC Autumn, 1902: England, I'm not criticizing you. However, it would be cheating by ME to accept exclusive knowledge if you were really leaving the game, and act on it and not share it with all. (Of course, it also crossed my mind that you were just trying to bait me into a stupid move.)
02 Jan 13 UTC Autumn, 1902: It's fine, I expect to make some noob mistakes, as I have done in other boards.
02 Jan 13 UTC Autumn, 1902: England - it's totally fine to bail when thing are lost. Happens all the time. Don't worry about it.
06 Jan 13 UTC Autumn, 1904: Would any other players be interested in playing to a draw at some point, or do you all want to go all or nothing?
10 Jan 13 UTC Spring, 1906: Given that Russia's 5 away from winning, I suspect we're playing till the end.
10 Jan 13 UTC Spring, 1906: Love how Germany won't stop attacking me even though Russia is about to win.

That hurts both of us you jackass!
10 Jan 13 UTC Autumn, 1906: We need to all work together if we are to have any chance against Russia.

Germany, I am not moving on Brest next turn. Nor am I moving on Paris. I could do either, or I could do both, but I will not. You gain nothing by capturing an additional territory, as you cannot build any units. Taking Brest will result in my less-than-stellar chances of holding back Russia in the Atlantic becoming NIL. And if I go down, Russia wins, and you lose. Therefore, if you are still playing to win, rather than just trying to wreck shit or something, it is in your best interest to leave me the hell alone and let me concentrate entirely on Russia.

I would also like to ask Italy and Germany to just leave each other be in the Med. Again, Germany gains nothing at all from taking any more than 1 of Italy's territories, and only serves to make Russia more likely to win. Those armies Italy is using to try and destroy Germany could have been used to secure an extra SC in France by now.

Likewise, Italy, Austria and Turkey should work together to keep themselves alive and to thwart Russia's plan. If Venice supports Trieste then Russia cannot take it. Likewise Greece can support Bulgaria, allowing Turkey to try and do some shit to Russia in the East. But all I have seen sofar is players who should be allies attacking one another, instead of focusing on the common enermy.

So come on, lets kick this bear in the balls and work together
11 Jan 13 UTC Autumn, 1906: Love to mate, but I don't know our three pals see it the same way. I've sent about 3 messages to Turkey suggesting we cooperate, but the opportunity has passed and I never received a reply.
11 Jan 13 UTC Autumn, 1906: Lol, if theres one thing I hate it's players who won't message. We have gunboat diplomacy for a reason guys

Bet Germany didn't even read my post. We've all lost in that case
11 Jan 13 UTC Autumn, 1906: sorry guys, you just have to consider that people are playing aroung the world and i've been sleeping the last eight hours...
11 Jan 13 UTC Autumn, 1906: Well I'm just glad you got on before the end of the round.
11 Jan 13 UTC Autumn, 1906: so what do you exaxctly propose?
11 Jan 13 UTC Autumn, 1906: Jesus Christ, my navy in NAO didn't move. Why?! Why would you do that, you stupid bastard?

Anyway, my proposal is pretty straightforward. Between us, we have more armies on the continent than he does. So instead of bashing them against each other, lets aim them at the fattest target on the map.

If we get out of this in one piece and I'm in a strong enough position, I'll also give a draw to everyone who assists. But don't get your hopes up =(
11 Jan 13 UTC Autumn, 1906: Cooperation sounds nice, but ... this is NOT "winner take all", England. Obviously every country wants to grab as many supply depot's as possible, BEFORE I grab 3 more and the game is over!
11 Jan 13 UTC Autumn, 1906: Well, they could play like that, OR they could join the heroic Alliance of Pathetic Nations Against Russia.

I would say thats hardly a choice, the decision is obvious
11 Jan 13 UTC Spring, 1907: The mighty Turkish fleet prevails.
11 Jan 13 UTC Spring, 1907: Oh oh -- the tide has turned! Time to all cooperate to stop the Turks now! :) Or, you can all head over to France to grab free depots to cash in before the end, like your heroic Mr. England ;)
11 Jan 13 UTC Spring, 1907: If I hadn't taken Portugal, the Mid-Atlantic fleet would simply have sunk en-route to the battle. At least this way I save another unit for the fight against evil
11 Jan 13 UTC Spring, 1907: I'll be honest, Austria's made what I'd probably consider to be the worst move I've ever seen in this game. Alliance of Freedom is kind of fucked now. Could have been so awesome as well, and maybe even would have worked
12 Jan 13 UTC Spring, 1907: I see my final 3 possible depots! Don't leave the other Supply Depots to England to pad his final score!!
12 Jan 13 UTC Spring, 1907: Oh no, my precious 5 point bet! Nooooooo
12 Jan 13 UTC Hahaha :) Well, considering you only have @3, it may as well be $1million ;)
12 Jan 13 UTC Lol, that doesn't include the 99 I have tied up in a bunch of games
