19 Dec 12 UTC Spring, 1904: We can put up our votes now, and Cachimbo can wait until Friday to put his up before he has to go.
19 Dec 12 UTC Spring, 1904: That way the game will pause as soon as he needs it.
19 Dec 12 UTC Spring, 1904: I was thinking along the same lines. Cheers!
19 Dec 12 UTC Spring, 1904: sounds good. Thank you for coming up with a logical solution.
20 Dec 12 UTC Spring, 1904: Voted.
21 Dec 12 UTC Spring, 1904: Meh! Looks like a pause might not be needed after all judging by the way things are setting up for me!
21 Dec 12 UTC Spring, 1904: Merry Christmas all.

(and if you celebrate another holiday, I wish you the best for that too).

See you next week.
28 Dec 12 UTC Spring, 1904: I regret to inform you that there has been several storms of importance in Montréal and just north of it. In fact, pretty much exactly where I was for the last week. As a result, my wife, my kids and myself have spent the five days leading to Christmas (including Christmas) without electricity, heat, running water or phone... The only reason I came back in town today was to drop my kids off at their mom's. Now I must hurry back there tomorrow morning to close things properly and make sure all is in order. For I can tell you that when we left this morning, stuff was still not fully taken care of (trees to cut, snow to plow, etc.)!

I sincerely apologize for the delay and I promise I will unpause on Jan 1st.

Anyone with doubts about this can check the news for that period (Laurentides, electricity, news). You can also talk to people on this board, two of which are from Canada and not far from where the snow hit hard last Thursday-Friday (it hit the Ottawa region as well). Finally, if that's still not proof enough, you can PM Slyster here, on this site, to confirm just how remote my cottage is; his family has one on the same lake... he knows what I'm talking about.

Again: sincere apologies.
My very best wishes to all.
02 Jan 13 UTC Spring, 1904: I sincerely appreciate the pause and apologize once more for the unforeseen delays. I hope all of you had a good time during the holidays.
02 Jan 13 UTC Autumn, 1904: Indeed. Hope the snow wasn't too bad.

In other news, does anyone remember what was happening in this game?
02 Jan 13 UTC Autumn, 1904: I think we were all decidedly working at an Austrian revival, no?
02 Jan 13 UTC Autumn, 1904: I think we were trying to create the USSR a couple decades early.
03 Jan 13 UTC Autumn, 1904: I am pretty sure that everyone except me agreed to destroy France and show no mercy.
03 Jan 13 UTC Autumn, 1904: You're right France, I'm coming for you. What gave it away?
03 Jan 13 UTC Autumn, 1904: Moving the Black Sea to Constantinople. I just know that you are just waiting to move that across the med to set your trap.
11 Jan 13 UTC Autumn, 1905: Hey all... I'm going out of town after work today for the weekend. No pause needed as I'm not traveling far and will have internet access, but press may be light until Sunday evening, just so no one gets alarmed that I'm a little less talkative than usual after this afternoon.
14 Jan 13 UTC Autumn, 1905: Did I miss the secret meeting where we allowed Russia to solo.
Let's get our shit together and stop this madness.
14 Jan 13 UTC Autumn, 1905: I am not going to try to solo until Turkey, Austria, and England are eliminated, so I don't risk a stupidly large draw. Italy, France and Germany have until then to make sure they can stalemate me.
14 Jan 13 UTC Autumn, 1905: Trust me England: I've made some efforts to make people aware of the situation in the south, but to no avail. Short term gains against Austria Apparently proved more interesting. Russia's desires to solo are real, No 1 should doubt that. And he will not wait For the elimination of small countries to try. He's already started.
17 Jan 13 UTC Spring, 1906: I need a pause after this turn.
My Grandmother passed away and have to go out of town for the funeral.Leaving tomorrow .Will be back Monday or Tuesday.
Thank you. Podium
P.S We have a mod in the game who can force pause it.Just joking.
17 Jan 13 UTC Spring, 1906: My sincere condolences
17 Jan 13 UTC Spring, 1906: Sorry to hear it Podium.
17 Jan 13 UTC Autumn, 1906: I'm very sorry to hear that. Please take your time with your family. We'll be around when you get back.
18 Jan 13 UTC Autumn, 1906: Austria are you willing to pause?
18 Jan 13 UTC Autumn, 1906: My apologies. Yes. Absolutely. It just slipped my mind.
23 Jan 13 UTC Autumn, 1906: Thank you everyone.
23 Jan 13 UTC Autumn, 1906: We'll likely need the mods to unpause. The last update created a glitch that will prevent us from voting it.
23 Jan 13 UTC Autumn, 1906: Yup, can everyone please type: /unpause so I'm sure we're ready to go?
23 Jan 13 UTC Autumn, 1906: /unpause
